We wanted a special cake for my Moms’ 80th Birthday and Schlegl’s definitely came through with such a gorgeous cake. This was the first time I ordered a cake from here and the experience was great! From the minute I came through the door and Christina (front end service provider) greeted me and began the process and Liz (the cake decorator) collaborated with me on the design, to picking up the beautiful, delicious cake; I can’t thank you all enough. I absolutely adore this bakery. Everything is made in-house and is incredibly fresh. It truly feels like a paradise for sweet lovers, with a wide variety of candies to choose from. I highly recommend this place; the staff is very friendly and they definitely won’t let you down.
Yeah, the donuts are good. Yes, the cookies are excellent... But her signature Lincolnwood Coffee Cake is dying. The problem is they usually run out of them at 8:00. So if you come there after that, order the day before that they have one ready and no one can take it from you!
I love this place. The staff are lovely too. However, I have a universal wish for American bakeries: reduce the sugar level in your products... It makes it more healthy and tastes better. Too much sugar on the bakery products! Maybe 20 percent reduction doesn't hurt.

Loved the way they decorated my son’s Minecraft cake. They designed it just the way I wanted, and it also tasted great! Love their chocolate mousse and strawberry filling. I will be ordering more cakes from here.
