Good location and very romantic. My friend just had a wedding there. The only problem is the public transportation. After I called a cab(taxi) I had to wait about 30 mins. Also I couldn't speak any German and the driver and the call operator couldn't speak English well, I had to asked a random German person to speak to them for me. So if you are planning to visit there for an event, make sure you get there 1~2 hours early.
You will need a car to get there, but it’s well worth it, certainly if you’re visiting anywhere on the lake (called Starnberger See). Beautiful “Castle”, and a huge enclosure for the rare white deer, who will delight kids of all ages with their friendly nature. You may even buy small portions of approved food pellets and offer it to them. So adorable...
We didn't check this before coming to this place but it is not possible to visit this Schloss without an appointment in advance. Right now it is a part of some clinic. Area around is nice and quiet. There is a small cafe near the castle.
I've been here a few times for a break during walks or bike riding, nice place. It has a small cafeteria from which I've only had ice cream and cold drinks from, it can take a while to get served when busy. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Sehr interessante Ausblicke rundherum und es war friedlich. Nicht viel Andrang. Man kann in das nahegelegene Wasser tauchen.
Es war geschlossen, als wir dort waren, aber es war ein schöner Ort für einen Spaziergang zum Starnbergersee.
