We walked down to see the Rhein Falls and on the way back to our car it started to rain. It was a cold, blowing rain and at first we ducked into the entry of the restaurant just to avoid the blast. When we discovered it was a restaurant, we went inside and we were warmly welcomed. Our wet coats were taken and we were seated by the fire and enjoyed snacks and champagne while our table was readied. We ate at a table by the window overlooking the courtyard, enjoying the warmth and delicious food. We are planning to return this year for another meal and a look at the falls.
If you are in the vicinity it wouldn't make sense to miss the largest waterfall in Europe. Must see. Look out for the view from the train as it approaches the train station. It will be to the right if you are arriving in from Zurich. The view from the train is Majestic to say the least! Great place to spend a few hours and appreciate the mighty falls up close and personal! Take a boat ride to the rock in the middle of the falls. That too is a must see!
i like this restaurant more than the one with the view on the rheinfall for the following reasons: 1) great service 2) very cosy and warm setting inside, nice fireplace and well placed tables 3) great food with a menu that seems to vary every month. net, a classic I take my visitors to - nice walk from Schaffhausen, visit the rheinfalls and end with a great lunch or dinner in schloss laufen.
I went here for Dinner after a great visit of the Rheinfalls.The staff is really nice and makes sure you are comfortable. We sat outside and it was a little chili, not even had to ask and the waitress offered a blanket.The Restaurant serves very nice food and the price is good for it. We were quite surprised how good it was and I can only suggest you try it out yourself.

Ich habe das Restaurant besucht, als ich dort die Wasserfälle besuchte. Schade, dass das Restaurant auf der anderen Seite liegt. Es würde dem erstaunlichen Erlebnis noch mehr Wert verleihen. Ich hatte hier das beste Rindertatar (das auf dem Foto ist das kleine). Jedes Gericht war sehr gut und der Service war außergewöhnlich und immer mit einem Lächeln.
Wir gingen am ersten Januar zum Abendessen, um einen Geburtstag zu feiern. Die Kulisse war magisch, meine Schwiegermutter war voller Ehrfurcht. Der Service und die Qualität des Essens waren ausgezeichnet. Ja, man zahlt etwas mehr, als im Neuhausener Zentrum auswärts zu essen, aber ich würde dieses Lokal trotzdem empfehlen.

Going there with daily after tour of waterfall. I must say all the foods and ice cream are very good! Good service and good location as well. Had a great time here.

Nice activity for a sunny day. In order to go to the waterfalls you need to pass through the castle so you cannot miss it.
Amazing view of the falls from here...spent some amazing time and took some super photos...must see place...
