However, the one thing that prevents me from giving a full 5 stars is the apple strudel. As the granddaughter of the best cook in Northwest Ohio (of German descent) and a pastry chef trained by an old-school German chef, I know how to make strudel well. Regardless of whether it's apple, peach, or cherry, traditional strudel is made by layering fruit between thin, flaky pastry. While icing can be a nice addition, it's not essential. The apple strudel served here had a cookie-like crust, a mere three slices of apple, and a thick buttercream icing on top—definitely no light, flaky pastry layers to be found.
On a brighter note, the triple chocolate cheesecake was absolutely incredible!
Schnitzelbank Catering catered my entire wedding a few weeks ago, and I can't say enough about how fantastic the food was. The servers, cooks, and bartenders were all extremely professional and went above and beyond. Every detail was carefully attended to, and everything went off without a hitch. I would definitely hire them again if I needed catering and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caterer. 5 GOLDEN STARS!
Bought a dozen mixed donuts this morning. Terrible quality! They were too soft that when you tried to pick up a jelly filled donut, they would fall apart. The sugar coating was melting and extremely messy and, the sugar was very grainy.I also did not think they had much in the way of flavor.I was hopeful for a good donut from them as their food is usually fine.
We would highly recommend Schnitzelbank Catering! The team did a fabulous job at our daughters wedding this weekend! Many compliments on their food from our guests. Everything was just as we had asked, even some special menu requests which were handled perfectly! From start to finish, everything went so smoothly! Thanks again!

My hubby wanted me to have a day off so we ordered the Thanksgiving meal, the food was amazing! I loved how organized the staff was to get you in and out. Not to mention time away from their families to do this. So our family thanks you for not only the amazing food and attentive staff. Happy thanksgiving
They did an outstanding job with the Oktoberfest in Evansville! I've visited the Schnitz in Jasper many times, so I already knew the food would be great. The fried chicken, German fries, and spätzle were all excellent.
The food was great! Perfect for large and small events... The gift shop has really cool stuff.
The food is always great. Green beans a hair bland but turkey and dressing was fantastic!
