I recently started at Scott Community to become a sign language interpreter. I have had some great instructors, however, I have one bad one that ruins the whole experience. I’m having to stop school because I’m pregnant and I know that she will not help me to keep up with my studies. She hasn’t up until now, even when I had Covid. She is the worst prof I’ve ever had, I never had to deal with this while I got my bachelors degree.When I told the Dean of Students about what was happening he did nothing to help.This school is a joke.
Terrible educational program. The establishment prioritizes investing in a coffee bar over improving the quality of education. They use outdated books, rely on outsourced educators, and automated grading. It is not worth spending any money on education at this place. Your concerns will not be taken seriously.
My advisor did not get back to me in time to change my summer course. My summer course is not taught by a college professor but recorded from other online sources. Simply put, it was a $645 scam. Save your time and money and go somewhere else that will value you as a student.
Scott Community College is a great place to learn, they are very accommodating and have some of the best teachers I have had. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about college because it is great for an undergraduate or associate's degree.

This is a great area to walk dogs if you live near the college. The sidewalks and surrounding areas are well maintained, and there are trash cans along the area to throw away messes from your dog. Very enjoyable area to walk!
Great campus and very friendly staff. Ms. Kelsey King showed us around and was very informative. Looking forward to registering for the Fall.
The teachers are fantastic and the office staff are incredible, whether you need financial assistance or guidance from the library!
I attempted to switch my reservation from Black Hawk to Scott, but the employees were unhelpful and extremely rude over the phone.
