The landscape design process was quite disappointing. I met with a young woman who took some photos after we entered the farm. However, it took her several weeks to create a design that included many plants we had discussed, but I wasn't happy with them. When I attempted to arrange another meeting to review and make changes, she was consistently unavailable. Given the high fee I paid, I was expecting a more professional service and renderings. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We have since decided to hire another company that offers more reasonable prices and has provided a professional selection of plants along with a beautiful, clear design. I would recommend avoiding this service.
Scottsdale Farms has quickly become one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is beautiful and serene. The staff is always incredibly friendly and eager to share their extensive knowledge about plants. Speaking of plants, they are consistently well cared for! Every purchase I've made has thrived at home. We enjoy having a delicious breakfast at their charming café, then taking some time to visit the goats. I can’t remember the last time we left without adding a new plant or two to our collection. Visiting this place is truly a delightful experience, and I’m so grateful that it's part of our community.
After finishing up inside, we wandered outside and explored the greenhouses. They had a wonderful selection, though I found it to be a bit pricey as well. In the end, I picked out a large, beautiful succulent and had a long, engaging conversation with one of the staff members who was incredibly helpful, sharing lots of ideas and information with me. Even though I don't live in the area, I will definitely return if I'm ever nearby. And I can't forget to mention the adorable dog wandering around with a blanket on him—so cute! (Just a heads up for anyone who might be afraid of dogs.)
I had a wonderful time at the Fall Festival! The pumpkin patch was filled with a wide variety of pumpkins, and they provided wheelbarrows to help transport the heavier ones. There was plenty of parking available, and for just $7, you could enjoy hayrides, explore the corn maze, and see the farm animals. The café offered delicious food and drinks for purchase. Plus, the gift shop featured lovely upscale home furnishings. The only downside was that there weren't enough places to eat since all ten picnic tables were occupied. They definitely need more seating for dining!
My wife and I dined at this restaurant last week, and we loved it! We had family visiting over the weekend and wanted to take them somewhere unique and local, and this place was absolutely perfect. We can't wait to return soon; I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in the spring!
