My family and I have lived in the Moon area for a few years now, and I believe this local bar is one of the best in the area. The food is good, and the beer selection is decent, but what really sets this place apart is the welcoming atmosphere created by the incredibly friendly staff. I love the cozy fireplace during the colder months, and in the warmer months, the terrace is a wonderful spot to relax. It's a great place to visit whether you’re with family, friends, or even by yourself. I particularly enjoy unwinding at the bar after work with a few drinks and chatting with the delightful bartenders and waitresses.
During my visit to the bar, Nicole, the bartender, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was inviting, too. In the summertime, they offer an outdoor area where you can watch Steelers, Penguins, or Pirates games on TV. It’s a nice spot to smoke as well, complete with tables, lanterns, and even a fireplace. The indoor seating is equally enjoyable. Overall, it’s a lovely bar with great prices that match the quality of service and atmosphere you receive.
This little place really suprized me! The jumbo fried shrimp are the biggest I've ever seen and the breading was amazing. My husband got a grilled chicken club and it was flavorful and good quality fresh veggies. The only weird thing was the potato chips that came with his sandwich. I thought they would be hot chips but they are just ruffles from a bag. Other then that the only bad thing I can say is our table on the patio was really dirty.
Not what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be a seafood place, but instead it was sandwiches burgers and salad. I ordered the small steak salad. Iceberg lettuce, a quarter of tomato, 1 olive. The 3 small slices of steak were nice and tender. And I should have gotten it without French fries. The balsamic vinegrette was good. This charming little spot truly offers the "Cheers" experience—everyone knows your name! The bar has its own unique character, and I even think I met a new Norm while I was there. The bartenders are top-notch and set the gold standard for service. Although I haven't tried the food yet, it looks absolutely delicious from what I saw on the plates of other patrons.
An overlooked place that I'm sure most forget it there! Including myself. Decided to go there tonight on a whim and was not disappointed! Many places have fallen to the wayside since covid. But not here! Fast service, friendly service, and excellent food!! We've stopped eating out since most places went downhill but I think we found a new favorite spot!
Always pop in here on my visits to Pittsburgh. The staff are always friendly, along with the locals. Someone always has a story to tell. If like me, you travel here fairly frequently, go check it out.
Someone mentioned that they should have ordered the steak salad without the French fries! But then it wouldn't really be a steak salad, would it? It would just be a salad with some steak on it. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The severs were nice but the burger was kind of cold and fries were soggy
