Consistently good food. Seafood is always fresh and menu has been elevated over the years. I didn’t give it 5 stars as the crab cake was fried too much burning the panko crumb exterior but the crab cake under the crust was delicious. The white bean and sausage soup was watery and bland and more of a broth with very little beans. My fellow diners enjoyed their cod and ahi tuna and my salmon topped with shrimp was also good. Service was a little slow and inconsistent but there is always a crowd. Would definitely go back when in the area again.
The Lobster Bisque was excellent, great flavor and plenty of small chunks of lobster. The Cod was fresh, cooked perfectly. The only thing that took away from the meal was the asparagus, it was very thin, not the plump asparagus one would expect, especially this time of year (summer). The place is small, charming, excellent service but very noisy inside. Would still definitely recommend .
Closes at 9pm like many restaurants in the area, but unlike other places, turned our party of 2 away at 8:20pm and there was no line. We’d make a mental note to just show up earlier, but this is a third time we’ve had a less than pleasant encounter with the hostess. She’s rarely friendly and there’s an appearance of favoritism with how she manages the waitlist.
We have dined here several times for dinner, and it has always been a pleasant experience. However, it doesn't seem to be the best choice for lunch. Generally an excellent dining experience. Have eaten there a dozen times. New owners have tried to reduce costs by skimping on the quality of ingredients such as the topping on the cod fish. I'd prefer to pay a little more. I've dropped my rating by a star. Had a nice soft shell crab. Monday oyster deal is great.
The duck and snapper were outstanding—crispy and full of flavor. The vegetable spring rolls were excellent as well. The service was very friendly and incredibly quick. Just a tip: bring your own drinks since they don't have a liquor license.
Had the fish and chips which was very good Service was good Ocean Grove parking leaves a bit too be desired But worth the effort we were able to park almost in front of the restaurant Try this one out when you are in Ocean Grove
Really great food faves were the coconut shrimp and the tuna tartare. However, they need to get rid of the incredibly rude tall hostess w the brown curly thin ponytail. Our server was very sweet and provided excellent service. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. They don't serve alcohol, which means it's bring your own bottle—definitely a bonus!
