We had a reservation for the Seaview for Christmas day lunch, but when we got there we were offered the dinner menu, which we accepted. The appetizers were limited to two choices, which were adequate in size, but left the menu very thin for someone who didn't like vegetables, as the soup (choice 1 and salad (choice 2 were both vegetable based. As in other reviews, we were offered one piece of bread, which took some time to actually get. No basket was offered for the table. Went there for Christmas Day Dinner. Where to start? First, we had a 7 PM dinner reservation. We get there at 6:50 PM and didn't get seated until 7:40 PM. Evidently, they were short staffed and no one was able to bust the tables. Then again, the place didn't look busy at all either. So I'm not sure what the 40 minute hold up was there. Next, we get seated to our table and it took about 15 minutes for someone to come by to take our drink order. Then the hostess that seated us came by and gave us the regular dinner menus when we were told on the phone earlier that if we had a 7 PM reservation, we are able to order off the Christmas Day menu. We ran into traffic and was 15 min late. I called several times on the way and kept getting the answering machine and I left a message saying we would be 15 minutes late. We arrived 15 min late and they said they knew nothing about our reservation. When we arrived have the restaurant was empty and they looked confused and said they don’t take reservations. They got the manager. We were soft and gentle and never raised our voice and caused any attention. The manager came out yelling at us. We had salads for lunch at this restaurant. Our server was new but polite. The overall experience was mediocre for a 4-star hotel. When we returned for dinner with a reservation, the waiter was rude and refused to seat us because he assumed we didn't have a reservation. After waiting over 20 minutes to be seated by another staff member, we were given lunch menus with wraps and salads. Disappointed with the lack of a special meal to celebrate, we were informed that our reservation was actually for the nicer restaurant in the hotel. I went to this restaurant last night for my girlfriend's birthday dinner. I had made reservations, but it took 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us and the other patrons waiting in line. When we asked to switch to a table with a better view, the waiter seemed indifferent. No one came to wait on us, so we finally got up and decided to leave. I spoke to the manager, who didn't show much empathy and made excuses. I was truly disappointed. We ended up going to Library 1 Restaurant and had an amazing prime rib dinner.
I have been visiting Ocean Place for over thirty years, but this New Year's Day was the most disappointing experience I've ever had. My wife, three kids, and I went to the restaurant and were extremely disappointed. The service was terrible due to a shortage of servers, and the buffet was the worst I've ever had. To make matters worse, the $25 price tag was not worth the horrible quality of food. I am ashamed at how bad our experience was. They need to either improve the variety of food or shut down completely.
Stopped in with a group of six for an early dinners . They recommend the buffet for $32 a person. Food was ok but definitely not worth $32. Service was poor. Plates stacked up as staff walked by. The place had very few patrons with plenty of staff standing around. There was a language issue with the staff that made it even more frustrating. The worst was yet to come. They have the nerve to add a 21% tip onto the bill for poor service for a buffet. Never again!

I wish I had read the reviews before coming to this restaurant. The steak was undercooked and had a stale smell. The service was very slow and they did not try to correct any mistakes. The appetizers were like fast food. This restaurant completely ruined our evening.
Had breakfast after a wedding. Great view in a very large restaurant overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
