We stayed 2 nights in a double room with shower and sink. The toilet was down the hall. The room itself was charmingly decorated and looked out over the lake. Everything in the room was exceptionally clean and fresh. Although linen and towels were provided, there was no soap (soap was available in the restaurant's restrooms, one floor down.) As with all berg hotels, guests are expected to take off their boots and leave them in the boot room before using the clogs (available in the boot room or bring your own slippers) to walk on the clean carpets upstairs. Wir verbrachten Anfang August eine Nacht in einem Familienzimmer mit Dusche. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und komfortabel (zwei Einzelbetten und Etagenbetten) und verfügt über eine Gemeinschaftstoilette am Ende des Flurs. Unsere Gastgeber (insbesondere Madeleine) waren sehr freundlich und das Abendessen und das Frühstück waren gut und herzhaft. Der See ist bei Tagesbesuchern sehr beliebt, auch wenn er eigentlich nur zu Fuß erreichbar ist, aber wenn sie einmal weg sind, ist die Gegend friedlich und ruhig. We stayed one night in early August in a family room with shower. The accommodation is clean and comfortable (twin beds plus bunks,) with a shared toilet at the end of the corridor. Our hosts (particularly Madeleine) were very welcoming and dinner and breakfast were good and hearty. The lake is very popular with day visitors, despite only really being accessible by walking, but the area is peaceful and tranquil once they have gone. This resto is located on the eastside of the famous Seealpsee, Stunning views to Säntis, Messmer and nearby Mountains. Resto is reachable from Wasserauen as quickest way. The are some hike path for going there trough forrest or on an small step street. Takes about an 1 hour to reach from Wasserauen Station.Quite busy on sommer days with lots of hikers, daytourists, and People just wanna go for a swim in the lake.Staff is young, fast and friendly even busy on mentioned days. We, a group of three, arrived after hiking down the Santis mountain on a Tuesday afternoon. We got some Apfelschorles and coffee while gazing at the lake in front of the Seealpsee Berggasthaus.Our waitress was nice; she didn't kick us out even though we only went inside after we had finished our drinks and after it started raining. They also didn't rip us off on pricing.They had rooms to rent and the whole restaurant looked like a cafeteria for the guests, but it's a a restaurant too. There is a huge patio!The bathroom was clean and I refilled my water bottle in the sink. It was good water.
Das Gästehaus liegt eine Stunde Fußmarsch bergauf vom Bahnhof entfernt. Es bietet sehr einfache alpine Unterkünfte mit Gemeinschaftsbädern (einige Zimmer verfügen über Duschen). Es liegt jedoch an einem schönen kleinen See mit guten Wandermöglichkeiten in der Umgebung (allerdings nicht ganz einfach). Das Abendessen auf der Terrasse am See kann äußerst angenehm sein. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern und zum Genießen der wunderschönen Landschaft. Die Zimmer waren wie erwartet sauber.
The guesthouse is an hour hike uphill from the train station. It offers very basic alpine accommodations with shared bathrooms (some rooms have showers.) It is however situated on a lovely little lake with good hiking options in the area (none too easy though.) Dinner on their patio by the lake can be supremely enjoyable. A good base for hiking and taking in the beautiful scenery. rooms were clean, as expected.
The best thing about this place is its location. Surrounded by a breathtaking lake, you come here to enjoy the views and not the food. We had nice refreshments after our long hike, ordered a meal, which was just ok, and tried the ice cream, which was also ok. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
After a step walk from the talstation to Seealpsee, our kidz enjoy a quick bit to get energy for the last climb to äscher. Nice terrasse and very friendly service in a fantastic scenery ;)
