we just returned from the celebration of the 91st birthday of my father. there were nine of us, and we all had a wonderful time and were incredibly good looking. the food was cooked and presented and we thought very cheap. they made a great thing to bring out my father's birthday cake and made him feel very special! good choice of weep and a beautiful pint of harvey's. I would have absolutely no memory of recommending this pub. people, please keep doing what they do. Open up! Many thanks. d.
Nettes, uriges Pub, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Essen ist gut, das Bier kalt, man sitzt gemütlich und die Preise sind o.k. Ich hatte das 10 Unzen Rump Steak, medium, mit der Pfeffersauce. Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt gegart, sehr saftig, die Sauce war sehr gut, die Chips ebenfalls. Sollte ich mal wieder in der Gegend sein, werde ich sicher wieder dort hin gehen.

I came here for a meal after two other places didn’t work out, and I’m glad I did! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. I had lunch on Saturday with a group of 13, including a dog, and it was one of the best pub lunches I've had in a long time. I ordered the Balmoral chicken from the specials menu, and it was absolutely delicious! The pub itself is lovely, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
I only had dinner here, but it was a delightful experience with delicious food and wonderful service. I would definitely return. For food, I enjoyed the baked Camembert, posh scampi, and the chickpea and sweetcorn burger. I would rate the service a solid 5!

Hidden gem. Great food, staff friendly, nice welcoming atmosphere. Also, historic pub, so ticks a lot of boxes.
