Delicious food, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere! It's the perfect spot for a date night. Our server gave us fantastic recommendations and attentive service. We enjoyed some noodles along with a selection of mostly Nigiri. There were several types of Nigiri to choose from, and each one was fresh and flavorful. My favorite was the Toro, salmon belly, and a truffle Nigiri (I apologize, but I can't recall the name). Overall, it was an excellent experience!
Sen of Japan is by far the best sushi experience I have had since living in Las Vegas this year. I had the omakase. The fish was fresh and service was seamless. My only slight criticism would be that there were more kitchen dishes than sushi dishes. The kitchen dishes were excellent but sushi is preferred. We actually got a few extra nigiri at the end of the savory courses to get our fill. I would definitely go back!
In A Nutshell:-Sen of Japan is shaping up to be one of our favorite go-to local sushi restaurants in Vegas.-You will find some very nice cuts of fish both regular premium (like toro).-The service is always very friendly courteous both at the sushi bar at the tables.-The restaurant has a nice little buzz every time we go.Overall, the food is really great, I would suggest pretty much everything they have on the menu.
We had the shrimp tempura with spicy orange aioli sauce, agedashi tofu with Japanese eggplant, spicy tuna and tuna roll, yellowtail and yellowtail roll. It was all superb. We had a similar meal the night before at Nobu, and Sen of Japan was just as good and much less pricey. We received excellent service and would come back again when in Vegas. Highly recommend. While usually the service and food are excellent... This last visit was disastrous. Food took extremely long to prepare. So long I though they forgot my order. My friends son waited nearly 40min for a dish he had ordered at the start then came after we were all done eating even after the long wait times for food. They were not extremely busy either.
Extremely high quality sushi, the best I've had in Vegas over 4 trips. Every piece was delicate, mouth watering, complex and served deliberately such that you're taken on a culinary journey. Pricey but also great value. Service was very good with very friendly staff, including the chefs.
My favorite sushi place in Vegas. The sushi style is much like Nobu but half the price and you don't have to walk through a casino to get it. Easy access, great staff and the freshest sushi in Vegas (off strip).
