The all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ is priced at $40 per person, which includes a wide array of tasty meats and side dishes. Each person can also choose one noodle dish; my girlfriend opted for the spicy cold buckwheat noodles and loved them, while my cold buckwheat noodles were fantastic! The broth was incredibly flavorful! You might wonder why I would order noodles at an all-you-can-eat buffet, but I've been craving cold noodles, and they turned out to be chewy, delicious, and absolutely amazing! I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have lettuce to wrap the meat in, but the male server made up for it by providing spicy scallions instead, which were just as good. Is it expensive? I don't...
Have been here twice and both times the service and food were both pretty good. Once they forgot one of our drinks, but we got it the next time they were around. They have a variety of sides, the meat is always fresh and plentiful. Our favorites are the beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi and the marinated short ribs. This time we also tried the mushrooms, which were really good, too. They are happy to come and do refills of anything you want, including their yummy radish sides. They have about 10 or so different sides that they serve in small dishes. Some of them weren't too spicy, which I appreciated. It is about $40 pp for the BBQ buffet. Would go here again.
We were greeted by a friendly server who brought us to our table. We did the ayce bbq. Banchan was plentiful and tasty, was great for eating with the meat to cut through the grease. Meat quality was good and well marbled--it was tender and delicious! While it seems pricy at $40 per adult, my husband and I thought it was worth it as ordering a la carte at some other restaurants can easily be $20 or more per dish of meat and we ordered 5 meats and a cold noodle and we were very full. Their portions are also generous. Would come back again!
I believe ayce is like $40 now. It used to be cheaper. This place is never really busy. For ayce kbbq in Lisle/Downers Grove, it's solid. It definitely helps fill the void if you don't want to drive to Niles and Arlington Heights. Service leaves a lot to be desired because those ladies can get very lazy and take their time bringing you more items. Since it's close by, I'll have back soon and update this on the quality. First time coming back since before the pandemic. The service is pretty consistent. The servers are consistently coming around to switch our trays, ask if you want more sides, etc. I'm definitely had my fill of meat. I left wanting for nothing! The beef was very tasty! Prices have gone up a bit since before the pandemic. For our group of 8, it averaged out to about $52 per person. It's a bit steep for the overall experience. Overall solid 4/5 stars. Would return again if the opportunity presented itself.
We went on a Tuesday night and the place was not busy to start. We did the all you can eat Korean BBQ. As the evening went on more people came in. The staff was not super friendly, but very attentive to our needs. It was definitely a laid back atmosphere. The food was pretty good for an all you can eat place. You can only select three dishes at a time and cannot order more until it's finished. The sides of kim chi basic and the staff would provide more when asked.
The food was good, but the restaurant had a lot of tables, and they seated us at the same table as the only other Caucasian family. I tried to pull the tables apart a bit, but the owner, who was also our waitress, yelled at us, saying we couldn't move them because of the gas line for the BBQ. When I asked to order something other than the all-you-can-eat option, the waitress seemed annoyed.
The food here is incredibly authentic and delicious. Those who claim the prices are too high are mistaken. According to our friend, who lived in Korea for several years, this is the most genuine Korean restaurant in the suburbs. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend it. We were not done eating. They took our plates. They took our drinks. At 7:35 PM. They close at 8:00 PM. They were extremely rude. They just cleaned up everyone's plates without even asking. So mean the service. Food was great. Service was rude.
