I'm not even sure where to start..this place is AWESOME! I have always thought this was just a beer package store but boy was i wrong. They have approximately 40 beers on tap and 100s...and I mean 100s of bottled/canned beers from ALL OVER THE WORLD. If you have ever called yourself a beer drinker....you need to check this place out. Since my visit, I have kicked myself in the rearend for not stopping in here sooner. Sergio and his wife Kelly are amazing and super friendly. I asked for a little tour because honestly it is a little overwhelming with the amount of options you have. My husband and I are huge fans of this place! The beer is outstanding, featuring options you simply can’t find anywhere else. The food is also incredibly delicious, with some unique selections. Additionally, the atmosphere is fantastic, and Sergio is always there to recommend something you’re sure to enjoy. With such a friendly vibe and an impressive variety of beer and food, it's truly a win-win. We even make the trip from Indianapolis to Louisville just to experience Sergio’s World of Beers!
Now, for the downsides: it's cash only. While not a huge deal since there's an ATM on site, it can be a bit inconvenient. This is a minor inconvenience, though. The more significant drawback is the pricing of most beers. I get that this is a specialized shop, but seeing a relatively common beer priced at 3 to 4 times its usual cost can be quite frustrating. As a non-local, I don’t have to make frequent visits to Sergio’s, which might influence my choices in the future.
Sergio's World of Beer in Louisville is a hidden gem! I never would have thought to open this door (see pic 1), but I'm so glad we did. The selection of beers is astounding; it just keeps going and going. In pic 2, you can see the Bavarian Vault, which features an incredible variety of beers from Germany, the Netherlands, Iceland, Scotland, and many more. The options seem endless! This place is a must-visit! It's one of the most unique beer bars I've ever been to. I would give top marks just for the atmosphere created by Sergio and Kelly. While the prices are on the higher side, the selection of both bottles and draft beers is exceptional.
Sergio's isn't just a bar; it's a pub! It's likely the only place where beer takes center stage. The staff goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. There's truly no other place like Sergio's World of Beer!
Great place, you will never see the selection of beer he has anywhere else. Sergio is very knowledgeable and a great guy. Place is hard to find however it is a can't miss. We will go anytime we are in town.
