Their butter chicken is a standout, boasting a velvety tomato-based sauce that 's a perfect balance of creamy and spicy. Really excellent value for money. I never give any restaurant 100%, none is perfect. The fabulous in-store-made samosas and naan were the lightest, moistest and most flavourful anywhere in the Ottawa River Valley area I have ever eaten. Basmati rice was outstanding. Only one of the 3 curry sauces served (i.e., the veg. was very slightly watery; the other 2 sauces were spot-on for viscosity. Dine-in was a good experience, but the pallets of crushed tomatoes could have been stored away from the dining tables.
We ordered food for pick up but when I got home I wasn’t sure if I had the sizes I ordered or if it was enough for my group. I called and they assured me it was enough and I was satisfied but they sent over a full order of butter chicken for no charge anyway. Very unexpected and actually there was enough! Pretty amazing service though. I hope they still made money on this order. Great food too.
This is a nice and peaceful restaurant with relaxing music, and it offers excellent halal food. While some reviewers have mentioned that the portion sizes are on the smaller side, I found them to be perfectly adequate. Overall, it's a great place to eat, and we will definitely return. The food was odd for my lunch. The presentation was good, but the packaging was not great. They mixed the special salad with the hot food, and the naan did not seem freshly made; it appeared to be store-bought and just reheated. I wouldn't recommend trying the mixed items.
Pros: The curries featured comforting Indian spices and flavors, the customer service was excellent, and the chunks of meat in the curries were generous.
Small clean restaurant had a meal there yesterday and the food was tasty portions were great and so was the service. Will definitely go back
