Shack Breakfast Lunch

Today was the second bad experience at the Shack in Creve Coeur. The first visit a few weeks ago was annoying but today was a game changer. We arrived for breakfast a little past 8:00 AM and were seated immediately. The restaurant was not busy at this time. Cons: -Server appears at table and does not introduce herself. -I asked for more napkins than the thin one used to wrap your eating utensils 2 times before she brought back 2 additional napkins to be shared by two dinners. -I ordered a blueberry pancake and my dining partner ordered avocado toast with scrambled eggs. This restaurant was recommended by a patron at our hotel. Located in a shopping center so ample parking available. Place is large with bar seating on your right, table, and booth seating on the right and left. Industrial feel meets farmhouse with customer writings on the walls, ceiling, and basically any flat surface area. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious and plentiful. Best breakfast spot in Saint Louis. There is not a thing on the menu I have had that is not fantastic, having had almost everything by now. If you haven’t been, it’s worth the wait if you come during busy hours. Church hours are the best on Sunday. Nonetheless the wife and I find ourselves up here almost every week. It just doesn’t get old, great service from Sam and Kelley at the bar is unmatched. But we really like everything on the menu. The burritos are my favorite but the skillets come in a close second. I recently had my first visit to the Shack restaurant. We had to wait a bit to be greeted by a waiter. It seemed that they may have been short staffed. We ordered breakfast and did not have to wait too long for our food. The eggs, hash browns and toast were excellent. The biscuits and gravy were a little dry because they hardly gave you any gravy, and the pancakes were just basic. Overall, I would say the food was pretty good. This is such a great place. I have celiac disease, and this restaurant group (Shack, Corner Pub, Tavern) means so much to me. They have separate gluten free menus, and the servers can also tell you how to modify certain dishes to make them gluten free.The skillets here are legendary, and I always leave happy, full, and usually with leftovers for later. It’s a great place to take people who are visiting, our family members all love going to the shack when they visit from out of town. If you really need convincing, just look at the line that forms outside every weekend!

Do you need a fun, happy, refreshing and delicious morning? Go Shack Breakfast! They have a fun and delicious menu: healthy options, good omelets, wow waffles. Atmosphere is hype and cute.Let me tell you about the nice waitress who served us. Ms. Jennifer Tyler (I asked her name so you can tell how I enjoyed). She was so energetic, kind and helpful. She brought us our order in split as we liked to share. She made our day with her energy and perfect service. Definitely ask for her if you went.

I’ve been to another location before and came to this one as well. We ordered the French toast sandwich, croissant sandwich, and a French toast combo plateAs I’ve said before the French toast is SO good. The French toast sandwich is by far my favorite, the perfect combo of sweet and savory. One of the only restaurants that consistently hit with the food. Will definitely be back again and again!

Please Google the restaurant and join the waitlist from home. My friends and I planned to meet here at 11 and thank God I joined the waitlist around 9:30 on a Saturday. We walked in around 11 and was seated. Nice not having to wait there for over an hour. The food was amazing. This was my first visit and I'm going back with the hubs this weekend.
