We have never had a bad experience at Shady Oaks. Until last night. Party of 4, we were seated in near bar. I. guess the bartender had to do double duty, she was not a friendly server, it was not busy in this area, she had no more than 2 tables of r people at one time while we were there, never offered refill on anything but water, we all had sodas or margaritas. Food came out with hot sides, cool meat. the brisket was the driest I've ever had there. Between the unfriendly server and brisket, I was horribly sad. we brought out-of-town friends here. We told them it's the best around. We arrived at 5pm on a Thursday night. it was not busy at all. very disappointing, to say the least.

On a Friday night just before the dinner rush, I dined with my two nieces visiting from Florida at this restaurant. We were lucky to get a great table on the terrace. The food, drinks, and service were all superb. One of my nieces even said that the BBQ chicken she ordered was the best she ever had. There was a band playing, three musicians on stools, adding to the lively atmosphere. It was our first night out since the pandemic, and it felt great to be back in the swing of things. The band even interacted with the patrons, playing some country music. The weather was perfect, and overall we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful atmosphere and vibe, and a solid meal. The brisket unfortunately was plain. I don't know how else to say it. You're primed for Texas brisket, literally, your mouth is watering, then you take that first bite and it tastes like it was maybe in asteam tray or something. Aside from that, great sauce, super yummy Texas beans, and fried okra. I'd go again, but it would bea distant choice versus a destination event.
Friday night just before the rush. Took my 2 niecces from Florida. Had an excellent table on patio. Food, drinks, service all were excellent. Wife said her bbq chicken ????was the best she ever had. Had a band, three fools on three stools, playing. Firstnight ????back since pandemic. County music ????with the band interacting with patrons. Weather was fabulous and we had afantastic time. ???? great place to go.
I celebrated my birthday dinner at Shady Oak Barbecue Grill, one of my favorite BBQ spots in Fort Worth. The BBQ sauce is absolutely delicious. Aaron delivered outstanding service, paying close attention to every detail, which made my experience truly special. I will definitely be coming back.

I attended a company Christmas party at Shady Oak Barbecue Grill. The appetizers were tasty, especially the onion rings. The beer was served ice-cold, and the service was outstanding.
The ambiance of Shady Oak Barbecue Grill is incredibly cozy and can feel quite romantic, particularly with their impressive large fireplace.
