Hi guysI was up in Mackay for work and on the last night before i left I visited the Shamrock Hotel. And no its not an irish bar from my understanding. I must admit the menu wasnt vast but the selection was great. Catered for most! I had the shanks and wow they were ###king brilliant! Fell off the bone with a great taste. The flavours werent over powering and really had a great mouth feel hahaha. The only thing that beat the taste was the prices, so reasonble! If i had more time id check more of the menu out. The shamrock Hotel has great food, friendly staff, good atmosphere and prices you can actually not break the bank with!Thanks again guys ill be back!
I stayed at the Shamrock Motel and it was great being able to walk to the hotel to enjoy wonderful feeling of the optional area of the semi-enclosed tropical atmosphere while enjoying a perfect medium rare eye fillet with mash and veggies with gluten free gravy along with a couple of ciders. Being able to back charge meal and drinks to your room so you only have one bill is great too. While the menu is fairly standard bistro fare, it is well done and very enjoyable. Recommended
the personal was super friendly and welcoming. eating was very expensive, delicious and quickly delivered to our table. a favor for us, because everything is always so consistent. bonus points today that she had face painting for the children

We go to the Shamrock quite a bit for work and overall the service is great. Jay has been working the last couple of times and he is really polite and friendly. Great place for lunch.
Stayed here for a long weekend for a wedding, and we chose to eat here 3 times as we loved the food so much. Great value for money. Friendly service. Food was delicious.
We had to wait 1.5hrs for 4 meals on a normal Wednesday night. The service was very poor and the meals were not worth the wait. I would not recommend the restuarant.
Really nicely set up pub. Staff are attentive . The menu is smaller than it could be but they obviously know what works for their patrons

Family gathering - everyone enjoyed their food and the service was fantastic. Meals even came with a drink which made it even better.
The meals are great with a great variety catering for all types of diets (vegetation, gluten free). Well done guys
