The food at this restaurant was fresh and delicious, and we definitely plan to come back! We ordered butter chicken, chicken momos, garlic naan, rice, and lamb korma. The butter chicken had a distinctive flavor that I can't quite identify, but it was simply scrumptious! My husband and I have tried many butter chickens over the years, and this one might be the second-best we've ever had. (In my opinion, one of the best is from My Lahore in Manchester, England.) It was a very cosy place to sit and dine in. Had a very beautiful outdoor setting as well. They were variety of items in the menu to choose from. Great vegetarian and vegetarian options. We went around seven and there was a 50 minute wait for the dinner. But we were told in advance about the wait. After the initial wait there was not much waiting time. Food was delicious We ordered Vegetable momos, Veg chow chow, Himalayan chai, Vegetable pakora, Garlic naan and Dal. Momos was outstanding. Chow chow was basically soupy maggi noodles Indian ramen) Pakora was fresh and crispy Garlic naan was really good and dal was average. Worst part was the wait time 60 mins for main course) maybe it was due to the weekend..? But outdoor seating in Tahoe helps in passing time. Will visit again. 4/5
Enjoyed good food after a long time. Couldn't complain on any of the dishes we ordered based on taste. Everything tasted pretty much tasty. The downside might be it takes long time to service.But even that they inform fore-front and we anticipate the delay to get good food.The service was very friendly and genuine and that enhanced the entire food experience. Tried to eat here. First, waiter told us it would take 45 minutes waiting time for a main course despite the restaurant being half empty. So what, okay for us.Grabbed a seat and waited for 20 Minutes to get our orders taken. No one showed up.Crowd here is quite homogeneous with origin from the indian subcontinent.Left the place without ordering.Go figure yourself.
The indoor seating feels a bit dim, but the outdoor area is decent. It could use a bit more cleanliness, though. The food is quite good—authentic and flavorful. Just be cautious with the spice level! However, the prices are definitely on the higher side.
