We made a reservation for 7pm, but we were ignored for the first 45 minutes. Despite there only being two other occupied tables, we had to ask three times to order our meal. We finally received our food at 8:30pm, and it was very oily and swimming in oil. The chicken lacked flavor and the sag aloo was missing the sag. When I complained, the waiter/owner rudely told me it was not his fault and that I should have specified that I wanted it dry (without oil). The food was also cold. The only positive was that he offered a discount on our bill.
My family and I had a wonderful evening at Sharod. Despite being a small restaurant, the ambiance was cozy and inviting. The service was efficient as we were a group of eight. The food was delicious and served piping hot. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. To top it off, we were treated to a complimentary aperitif and chocolates at the end of our meal. The prices were reasonable and I would definitely return to Sharod in the future.
Firstly the good points are that the service was good and the staff friendly. Sadly that’s where the good points end. The chicken tikka tasted like processed chicken, the madras sauce runny and flavourless. Now for the cost: 1 bottle of beer and 2 cokes £12.00. 2 main meals, 1 rice, 2 nan breads 1 portion onion Bhaji £36.00Sorry but I find £48.00 for 2 meals that are not good far too expensive. Will not be returning.
Definitely my favourite Indian Restaurant! Food is real and tasty as well as being well sized portions and reasonably priced. Management and staff always very welcoming and a not rushed atmosphere! this restaurant has been open in the area for many years the atmosphere is friendly the cuisine is varied a good selection from a concise menu service is good the staff allow you time to enjoy the food there is no urgency once you are seated which allows time to savour the ambience
The food at this restaurant is delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the service is excellent. The curries are fantastic and the chef knows what they're doing. The prices are reasonable and parking is convenient.
Sharod is a welcoming curry house in Barkingside. Comfortable surroundings and friendly welcome. Convenient for a late night dinner with friends as well as evening out with family.

Been going here for years, rarely go anywhere else. Great food, great staff. The little gifts are a nice touch too.
