First review for 2017 and have been wanting to try this place for awhile. I drive by it all the time and from the outside, it doesn't look like much, but don't be fooled by the exterior. This is a legit BBQ joint. I had the brisket with cole slaw and hush puppy sides for $13.99. The brisket was quite good, very moist and tender with a mild amount of smoke. I tried the honey based BBQ sauce and it was OK. Will probably try one of the others next time. The cole slaw was also quite good. It had apples and red onions with a light slaw dressing. Nice little BBQ place. The decor matches most BBQ places, barn like with wooden tables inside. I had just a brisket burger and the Mac and cheese. They said the Mac and cheese was good so I was excited. The BBQ brisket was fantastic on the burger. There wasn't any fat on it and the BBQ sauce really complimented it well. Caramelized onions were great on it as well. Could've done without the raw onions. Easily one of my top 5 briskets! It had a lot of flavor and I definitely could have eaten 10 more lbs. 3 stars for the service and the drinks, not for the food. I 'm not crazy about BBQ so for someone that likes BBQ this might be a good place. I wasn 't expecting it to be a BBQ joint. It should be named Shelby 's BBQ. There is really not a lot to choose from on the menu except beef and pork and I don 't eat either. My husband doesn 't eat pork but does eat beef. There weren 't a lot of options left for me. I got a chicken sandwich with fries and hush puppies. The sandwich had no taste and the fries were wilted and some were burnt to a crisp. The pulled pork brisket are delicious! Cornbread the side of Brussels sprouts with bacon bake beans complete the meal!! Second time here will definitely be back. Very tasty ! Great service!
