We ordered the large assorted Sashimi $45, 2 salmon wing special $34 each, assorted tempura $35 (one smelly large prawn with some small fish pieces and vegetables in the most dense tempura batters I have ever had), one miso soup and 2 house sake. I asked if we had ordered too much and the waiter insisted that we should stick to the large sashimi platter for 3 people. She had no idea what the specials were. The tuna on the platter was a brown grey colour. The salmon wing special came out on one plate with only one salmon wing and a stack of salmon bone pieces. I clarified with the waiter that we had ordered two serves before having the chef explain that he had put two serves on the one...read...
Waited 30 minutes for my food watching my lunch companion eat hers for the majority of that. In the end I had to request take away as I had to return to work! I understand it gets busy but surely a good chef will make sure orders go out together as closely as possible! I was also not the only one in this situation in the restaurant!
*rating is a 3.5* came to dinner here recently and ordered: tempura garnelen (very good) sorted sashimi (excellent, very fresh) dhu fish (disappointing, was over boiled/dry) overall, the food quality was very good as the service. small restaurant, decent menu, something on the pricier side, but the quality is there.
this place serves the freshest sashimi! I would say this is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in perth. you feel like you're in tokio when you're in the restaurants. the owners are friendly and welcoming. the grilled squid and Matcha cheesecakes belong to my favorite! oh and don't forget to be heavenly.
