I came here with friends for a birthday, and while none of us were too familiar with Afghani food, we all had a fantastic experience. We took the Afghan House Dinner Treat, which includes a traditional Afghani feast served to the entire table (instead of everyone ordering individual meals), and all of the dishes were outstanding. I especially liked the ashak dumplings, samosas, lamb sausage kebab, and the kabeli palow. The servers were friendly and explained various dishes to us, and didn't rush us out as we sat and talked. The food was fresh and authentic and the restaurant was welcoming.
We had a wonderful feast for four. It was wonderful because it fed us in different ways. I appreciate oriental rugs. Well, they were carpeted and hung with Afghan, Turkmen, Caucasian and Persian beauties. Our waitress was smiling, friendly and helpful. Everything came with the hospitality I have grown to expect from Middle Eastern and Central Asian cuisine. Everything was above average from bread to appetizers to meats. If you come into the area and skip this place, shame on you!
Was visiting with coworkers after a training and one of my out of state friend who lives in Ohio suggested this spot. I had never heard of it but wow what a surprise. Where has this been my whole adult life. We had hummus and dumplings for apps and they were terrific. I had the ground chicken kebab, eggplant and rice and was not disappointed. This spot is West Hartford so look them up when you are there. The service was great and prices were perfect. What a pleasant surprise.
My wife and I went for lunch spur of the moment. Inviting interior, good service. Started off with their flatbread brought to the table with butter, hot and wonderful. We ordered 3 appetizers, samosas, hummus and bolami and one main course Chicken Shammi Kabob. Each dish was spicy and original. The appetizers were $5 apiece and the main dish $10. We had a wonderful and very filling meal for under $27 with the taxed. We were too full to try dessert. We will definitely be back.

Came here for lunch and it was excellent. The portions are large and filling and prices are very reasonable. I recommend trying some appetizers/soups as well. Happy hour is a great deal if you are in the area. It is my parents' new favorite spot so I think we will be coming here often! The service is also great and the restaurant is very prettily decorated, I highly suggest it for something different.
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and I'm really glad I finally did. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was adequate, with the waitress being very good. The ambiance had a unique charm. However, the men's restroom (shared with other businesses) was quite dirty.
I visited this restaurant for the first time during a work Christmas party, and I found it to be quite an intriguing place. The food was excellent, and it was my first experience with Afghan cuisine. I really enjoyed my time here and have recommended it to my family and friends.
We miss Craig the bartender. Cocktails are okay, that is why we stick to a bottle of wine, beer or whiskey. We really go there for the savory food. The food is just fantastic!

We ate here several times, which was unusual for us, since there are many restaurants in the area. The flavors were great, service was good, and the atmosphere was very nice.
