I had high expectations for this restaurant since it has always been one of my favorites, known for its delicious food and unique atmosphere. However, I've noticed that the parking situation for trucks has worsened recently. There are now more rundown equipment, vehicles with flat tires, campers, and local cars occupying spaces than there are actual truck parking spots. This place really needs some cleaning up, and it wouldn't hurt to invest in repainting the parking lines, as a lot of space is wasted due to poor parking. It's quite disappointing. I suppose I'll only be stopping here for a quick 30-minute break from now on, just for the diner.
All around great spot. The restaurant has great food. Ruben's, chicken tenders, pork tenderloin sandwich. Also the French toast is delicious. Chicken fried chicken smothered in gravy with eggs and hashbrowns is very good. They have a small salad bar, homemade pies. Ice cream by the scoop, including huckleberry: if that doesn't strike your fancy, they also have a Subway. The showers are clean with hot water and they provide towels and a bar of soap. Lots of truck stuff, what not and such. Plus everything a regular gas station carries. It's a one stop shop. Friendly staff.
I had a frustrating experience with the cashier during my visit. The customer service was lacking, and rather than putting my items in a bag, she threw a plastic bag at me and told me to pack them myself. As a truck driver, I can say that such small issues can discourage drivers from returning for fuel. It's unfortunate because it's a great company, but the customer service was disappointing. I believe she might want to consider a different line of work. I visited on June 25th at 12:30 AM, and I won’t be returning to this location.
This is just not a truck stop but I family restaurant to go with it. We also have a maintenance shop. Something I haven't seen in years wall pay phones. It even has a chrome shop. I wished it had a TV room. No TV.....: ..... Like I said the family restaurant out does every other within other truck stops have been too. And yes they do have a laundry room dryers and washers work. The showers you have to see, double the size of the one in my apartment. The one I had could fit a full size bed.....

Subway and restaurant close at 9 p. Don't expect hot food after that. Coffee that was in brewing pot was cold at 5 am. Coffee in carafes was high caffeine, decaf and two other flavored coffees. There wasn't anything normal to drink. Parking lot is big but trucks literally parked every which way with tons of personal vehicles holding spots and dropped trailers. I'm unimpressed with this place. They obviously don't bother reading their reviews.
Awesome place and atmosphere. We stopped in after a day of riding motorcycle. We only got tea and mozzarella sticks. The staff treated us as if we bought one of everything. Our tea glass never got below half before they was there with another glass. 10 out of 10 on service. Stop in and treat yourself and tip well they will earn it trust me.PS. Thanks to the staff for the great service and conversation. Yall are rockstars.
Had an amazing dining experience at Shoemaker's today. While many places serve chicken and biscuits, Shoemaker's does it so perfectly that I don’t crave anyone else’s. And if you believe a meal isn’t complete without dessert, you absolutely have to try their pie with ice cream!
This restaurant is a wonderful dining destination. The staff is extremely friendly and offers outstanding service. Andrea, in particular, shines with her warm and inviting personality. She is very attentive, which makes the dining experience truly delightful.

Fun place with lots of vintage eye candy, Drea was my an excellent waitress, attending to me with a smile and professionalism.I had the chicken fried steak breakfast and mopped every bite up with my sourdough toast.Looking forward to visiting again.
Very clean and super friendly staff. The biscuits and gravy were some of the best I've had in a long time.
