"I can't say enough good things about this place! First, the food was delicious and filling. The firecracker shrimp taco is spicy and flavorful, just one with some sweet potato fries was filling enough where I couldn't try their desserts! Stopped in on a Sunday around noon and was surprised to see how busy it was. I have heard what’s great place this was, but on a Sunday early afternoon, I was impressed by the crowd. Seems many people were regulars too, Lots of families with children, as were we. We were greeted right away by the staff and seated within 5 minutes. After the server asked us and delivered our beverages, we ordered the sliced brisket sandwich (2), and our son ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Hands down one of the best barbecue and comfort food places in NJ let alone Point Pleasant. Usually my friend and I take an annual trip down to Joe Leone's in the summer for the best mozzarella in NJ, however, the first time we went, we didn't realize how quickly they run out of it and ended up wandering town just to see what Point Pleasant was like and maybe catch some grub. We stumbled across this place, figuring why not, we'll try it out. He ordered the Surf and Turf tacos, I order a poboy for the first time. We ended up being permanent customers. We had the opportunity to visit twice during the summer of ‘22. First it was 2 of us, second visit was 5 of us. Both visits were breakfast. Omelets, hash towers, pancakes….all were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. It seems to be a family run business so service is not as fast as people would like, but that’s the price you pay for essentially visiting a family’s home and having them cook for you. I think my family and I will make this restaurant a weekly pit stop for comfort food.
Wow what a delicious lunch we had today. Started with warm homemade chips and absolutely amazing queso to dip them in, my son had the brisket sandwich loaded with frizzled onions and homemade cole slaw on the side I got a delicious salad with barbecued chicken on top and the best green goddess dressing I've ever had. Very lucky to have this gem in town we will be back soon. P.S. our waitress was the best today and so was the service.
