In the middle of January, we went to this restaurant to celebrate my grandma's birthday. I have not been at Silky Apple before, but mum and grandma both enjoyed meals here sometimes.The welcome was very warm, friendly and we had nice conversations with some of the staff.We were very hungry so we went straight into ordering mains: garlic prawns, prawns with wasabi cream and a chicken & vegetable dish.Wow!The tastes of these meals were fantastic! We very much enjoyed every single bite and cleared out all the plates :)After a little bit of pleasant, relaxing times we then decided to try 2 different desserts. We let the waiter know and we were very excited to finish up with our delicious dinner...
This was our second time having a family get together in this restaurant.The meals here are absolutely beautiful!The taste combinations are wonderful!Our table had garlic king prawns, wasabi king prawns (I ordered this and it was so delicious, creamy, fresh and light), Mongolian beef with fresh vegetables and a big portion of fried rice for all of us.We absolutely loved our meals.Although the fried rice was a bit dry.The reason I scored our experience average is because of the service. It was very disappointing. We had to wait a very long time to place our order, then for our meals to arrive, and then to be able to place our desires for some desserts...The desserts arrived with at least 10mi...
The décor does not leave much to be desired, I'm pretty sure it hasn't changed in the 20-30 years of operation. But I have to say the food is first class and the set menu will leave you rolling out the door. Service is ok, the issue is the waiters are the same guys from 20-30 years and their grasp of English isn't the best
This restaurant has provided good quality Chinese food over many years; I think I first visited 35 years ago! Little changes. This is reliably good food with a standard Chinese menu, friendly and accommodating service and a reasonable ambience though it can be rather barn-like on quiet evenings.

Come here for family dinners at least once a fortnight. Family friendly place and our kids love the Peking Duck, great choice of dumplings and steak dishes. The service is friendly and efficient They also allow BYO (very rare these days)
Loved the food, great service but I won't be back as too many loud, badly behaved babies (leather lungs!!) & bratty toddlers - we were there for a romantic dinner, but ended up eating & running.......won't be back.
This is my favourite local Chinese Restaurant. We have been coming for years. Never ever let's us down. Super friendly staff excellent food, good size portions. Highly recommend.
Although I have only eaten as a takeaway from this restaurant, and have not experienced the service and ambiance, the food was tasty and defiantly at a reasonable price!

The food and the desert is very good you need to try the banana split its soo good all food is very good ???? I was happy I will recommend this place to come and eat
