On March 10, 2023, lured by an ad in a local publication, we decided to stop in and order pizza at the Wallingford Silver Sands Pizzeria.When asked to honor the ad my brother was told by the staff that, despite the wording, he could only order one pizza for $10.99.We went ahead and placed the order in the hopes that the pizza would live up to it's reputation. It did not. The crust was flaccid and chewy, the sauce mediocre and, all in all, it was a disappointing product.One of the kitchen staff could be heard swearing which gave the impression that they were inconvenienced by our order. I ordered a party-sized pizza for $27. I asked for sausage and meatball on one half and half with broccoli and half plain cheese on the other half. However, I was told they couldn't do that. The customer service was lacking as the person on the phone wouldn't even ask the cook if they could accommodate my request. In the end, I received half broccoli and half meat. The pizza was delicious, but the service was poor. I paid $36 including tip, and my daughter had to pick off the broccoli from her portion. Overall, not a great experience.
Price per their website for the family special was $28.99 and is the price I always paid. Showed up to pick up the order and was charged $34.99. The person(male) there was very rude. Very bad customer service manner. Told me to go somewhere else for pizza after I told him about the price of $28.99 listed on their website. This was on 2/8/2023 around 4pm. The person had black hair and black beard, about 5 feet 9. I Won't be going back
Worst pizza ever!! I will not order nor go back. I ask for turkey pepperoni which clearly is not what I ask.. the picture shown… who will order cold cuts turkey/with pepperoni on pizza? I’ll wait.. terrible customer service. Usually a cook will come to the customer in front and ask Pacific questions if the cook/chef did not understand the order. Make it make sense. The delivery order took 1 1/2 hours, much longer than the promised 40 minutes, which is unacceptable. The food was not hot by the time it arrived, leaving me very disappointed. However, I did receive a call from the restaurant and they are refunding my money, which I find very honorable that they are making it right.
I was at the Wallingford location. Very clean with friendly staff.They hae a great thin crust pizza I'm a purist and just get Mozz perfect combination of crust sauce and cheese very flavor full. The prices are really good.Parking: Lots of parking, easy in and out
Order pizza, calzone, wings and salad and it was delicious. One person has a food allergy and they took the time to listen and made sure to make it without the ingredient. Really good food will be ordering from there again
