A few months back, we faced a medical emergency on the day of one of my children’s parties, and we had to inform the bakery that we wouldn’t be able to pick up the cupcakes. Instead of showing concern for our situation, they were only focused on when someone would come to collect them. I also reached out to the owner to express my concerns but received no response from them. While having a quality product is important, it's equally essential to provide professionalism and excellent customer service to support that product. I heard some great things about this restaurant and I was definitely not disappointed. I tried the chocolate raspberry cupcake, and it was hands down the best cupcake I've ever had. I initially thought the frosting would be the only raspberry flavor, but to my surprise, there was a delightful hint of raspberry filling in the middle. The cupcake was incredibly moist, and the frosting was just perfect. Our wedding cake received rave reviews from every single guest—so much so that nearly everyone had to try a piece after hearing how delicious it was! We worked with silver spoon bakery for a cake for our wedding day. Lynne was so wonderful to work with and helped us in any way she could. She even offered to make some cupcakes on the side to allow our guests with allergies to have dessert! The cake tasted amazing, and it was so beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. We had so much fun going to the store and having our cake tasting, we even found ourselves stopping in for coffee/dessert just for fun throughout the wedding planning process because the shop and employees are so welcoming and the dessert was always delicious! A few of us went and decided to order four different cupcakes to give different flavors a shot. The red velvet was my favorite. All of the cupcakes were crumbling and also tasted stale like they've been sitting in their fridge for days. I love macarons, so I ordered a half-dozen, and the shells tasted stale as well. The flavors are good, though!
We tried the cupcakes on Friday night, and they were absolutely delightful! Each one is rich and full of flavor. The prices are very reasonable given the quality and size of the cupcakes. It's a neat old Georgian house and the inside doesn't disappoint. Its like they were going for Duck and Bunny esthetic. Haven't had any muffins I didn't like. Decor is a LITTLE kitchy, but nice.
