Visited for the first time last weekend. Absolutely amazing!! The lady who cooks the amazing food talked us through the menu, brought us samples to try and delivered our food 'buffet style ' so we could all sample the dishes (as a family of 3 we always choose 3 different dishes so we can share).. she chatted with us about spices and cooking and could not have been more friendly and attentive. We just loved her! The food was stunning and the service from both the chef and the young person serving was first class.
The midweek special is absolutely amazing. Both beef dishes were tremendous tonight. Everyone thought each of the dishes we had were great. Derek, the host and owner, was as delightful as ever. The whole team are lovely, including the waiter waitress so polite and efficient. If you’ve never tried Indonesian food, then go to Simpsons to be impressed.
Loved the decor inside, especially the green velvet chairs. We were well looked after my very friendly staff, a nice laid back environment. Delicious home cooked food, the tempeh stir fry was so tasty, along with a sticky toffee pudding to finish. Me and my boyfriend throughly enjoyed our night and will be back!
Today was my first visit to Simpsons, but it won’t be my last : I had a perfect evening, and I’ve never received such a warm welcome. Food was a 10 out of 10 aswell. My only regret was not taking pictures because I was having such a good time and scoffing the delicious food. So thank you all for a great night.

This is a lovely small neighbourhood bistro where we had a really warm welcome. The food is delicious with fantastic Indonesian spicing. I only wish we lived on the doorstep so we could come back every week.
Amazing place. Fantastic service, everyone in there was lovely too, an all round great place. Food wonderful. I honestly couldn’t fault it. You have to go try it, you won’t be disappointed
The food at this restaurant is incredible, Derek is an excellent host and we felt very welcome. The menu is great and the dishes are cooked with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it.

I frequent this restaurant often, the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and I have no complaints. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great place to dine.
Wonderful meal for four. Excellent quality . Friendly knowledgeable service. Caring staff. A MUST visit with easy safe parking.
