The climb up to the top may be a bit challenging, but it is definitely worth it. It is highly recommended to visit on a clear day, as the views are much better. Unfortunately, access to the tower was closed when I went, but I believe it is open on weekends.
There are many paths to the monument, the one I took from ford park was a steep one, apparently the other paths aren't as steep. The views from the top are amazing across morecambe Bay, and lake district mountain's. Well worth the walk.
The beautiful, serene morning walks are a perfect way to start your day. With just a few dog walkers and sheep around, the peaceful atmosphere at the lookout is truly worth it.

The walk is stunning and offers a fantastic view. It's definitely worth getting there in time to catch the sunset.
