This place is still good and service is still on point. Except they don't come around to give more soup base when your pot is drying out. The combo was perfect for sharing because I wasn't hungry at all. It was two different kinds of meat and we got two soup bases with an extra cost. Although the meat quality is not too notch where is melts in your mouth, it was decent enough for the price. We got short ribs and rib eye. Short ribs were sliced so think it broke the minute on went in the soup. The ribeye was good. Came in and out as a whole. Perfect amount of vegetables for one person. Slice Shabu restaurant in Huntington Beach is a great option for shabu dining. The variety of flavors is impressive, the ingredients are fresh, and there are plenty of choices for meat, seafood, chicken, and vegetables. The sauces and spice levels are just right. However, it would be nice to have more than just 2 sauces available, and there are additional charges for certain items depending on your choices. The price for a shabu bowl can easily reach $40, which may be too pricey for some. While the meal was satisfying, the cost may make us consider other options for shabu in the future.
Used to go here a lot when they first opened and recently came back again since they allowed dogs outside for the patio. Very nice workers, but the quality of the food was not how I remembered. The broth wasn't flavorful. I got the pork bone and the Tom yum. Both were okay. The toro wasn't too bad either. We got the curry katsu chicken and that was pretty bland too . Maybe I came back on a bad day but it's not how it used to remember. The place did look dead and it was a Sunday night
I came here with my bf. The waiter suggested ordering 12 lbs for 2 ppl and it was actually enough for two people. I ordered pork bone soup with vermicelli and ponzu sauce. My bf ordered miso with udon. Compare with other places soup here is very clean without much grease. Worth the drive from South Bay LAGot combo A this time with ribeye lamb. Pork bone broth. Half rice half ramen. Service was prompt, nice informative. Ambiance is family or date friendly. Great for groups. Has indoor and outdoor seating with private parking lot. Yogurt soju is magically delicious and pairs well with the shabu.
my daughter and I really enjoyed the whole dining experience. Lovely outdoor dining and attentive service with delicious shabu. we both ordered combo A. There was a large assortment of proteins, vegetables and noodles. The broths ad sauces are super flavorful. We left full and happy.
This restaurant is an incredible place where you can cook your own food exactly how you like it. I especially enjoy the innovative technology of having a hot stove right in the table, making it a custom experience.

Great place, food is delicious and all the waiters are friendly , however if you go during Sunday afternoon, you will have to wait for sitting.
