Been here many times , but this year not sure what’s happened, if you sit in be prepared to wait at least an hour , the staff are so slow it’s as if they have all taken valium or a massive chill pill . The older waiter struts about talking to people and forgetting your order . You start your food then halfway they bring prawn crackers , then later ask if you want your side dishes. Some people us included had been given coldish food . It use to be place to go maybe this is a one off a bad night but hope they pick up to what they use to be like .
We were promptly served with drinks and everything seemed ok. After a while we noticed a lot of glum faces. Everyone waiting for food. Not a good sign! Eventually our first course arrived. It was poor quality but edible. We waited ages for our mains which eventually arrived after I contacted the manager. Again poor quality, over salted food which was practically cold because we were outside and the plates were not warmed. They waiting staff were not to blame it was the kitchen and the manager. Best to avoid here!
We visited here during our recent stay in Adele. The service was good, however one of the main dishes was inedible and spoilt the whole evening. Our duck starter was fine, albeit the pancakes were soggy meaning they didn’t retain the duck with any reasonable amount of source. The chilli chicken was also OK but the honey pork char Sui was awful and way too salty to eat. We highlighted it to our waiter who said they would let the chef know but no apology/gesture. Definitely one to avoid.
A hungry family of five descended upon the place upon arrival on the island and had a very pleasant meal. Tried mostly some Chinese classics which were all fine. The Dim Sum maybe not but hey it's not fine dining right! We were seated outside which was great but there is certainly a bit of that Tene Septic smell wafting in from time to time! Service was great, attentive and quick. Overall this place certainly did the trick for a hungry family just off a flight
Visited here last week had set meal for 2. Chicken sweet corn soup, duck pancakes, lemon chicken, sizzling beef Cantonese style egg fried rice. All For €19 per person. The nicest Chinese food we’ve had for while will highly recommend
Fairly priced , a bit of miss understanding on one of the dishes but was sorted out quickly . Thai red curry had really nice flavour but slightly let down being quite a thin sauce . The flavour made up for it though
This is the one at Duke’s Shops Excellent probably the best crispy duck I’ve ever had. Fab service too. All the courses were excellent. We’ll definitely go back
Every dish a winner at Slow Boat. Soups are amazing, S&P chicken, pork and noodles, veg rice, all fantastic. Staffer great too!
Food was good, nice choice. Don’t have the cocktails though tasteless and not very good. Service was good and very quick.
