We arrived here after reading about it on Metropolist. We had 1 1/2 hours to kill before catching a movie, so in no way we're we in a rush. At a 'Noodle Bar' you'd think that a freshly cooked stir fry would be cooked in under 45mins. The place was busy but not packed out. We ordered two stirfrys at 7:15pm, that was after trying to figure out if it was table service or order at the counter. With no staff to see in sight we worked out what we wanted and went to the counter to order. Had a Sunday night dinner with hubby and the kids. We loved the hip Asian decor, and sat at a high table on stools. Great vibe, modern, busy and lovely service by the owners sister . Entrees to share were duck and beetroot spring rolls, salt n pepper squid which was light as air, and karaage chicken oh my! Each main we chose had a distinct flavour of its own and was absolutely amazing. Loved the rendang Lamb, so tender and spice laden, although not hot. Cashew chicken was superb as was the Nasi. Mmmmmmm, my mouth is watering just writing this. Have been past on a Saturday night and it is pumping. We Will definitely return. Ps : Is fully licensed so can be a bit pricey if you're a boozer
We went once and kept going back but with friends attached. The menu is genuine Asian food and the atmosphere reminded me of an Asian street cafe. The Rendang can be as hot as you like and the Laksa a treat. It's been a while since I have had a good Nasi Goreng so ended up having it on two consecutive visits. Check out the menu for other great delights. It is gluten free friendly which is a must in my household so there will be more visits to come. If you like to drink, don't get carried away as it can be costly! You have been warned.
We turned up for a rainy mid week anniversary dinner and they were closed & renovating!Said the old owner hadn't passed reservation on. Advised it was our anniversary and no offer to make it up to us once open. Excitedly told us the new menu was fusion Thai but menu was just ordinary uninspiring Thai (I have a house in Thailand). Licensed only - (Slurping Panda was byo on Wed) more $$ than the excellent 3 byo's up the road..

While the waiter was lovely we received two luke warm soups with uncooked veges and raw meat. Pho normally has a boiling stock so the veges and thinly sliced meat cook in the broth. We returned them as they were not edible this undercooked. They must have simply microwaved them which meant the ceramic bowls were too hot to touch and the vege still not properly cooked. Truly awful soups. We won't be back.
We were looking for take-away last Sunday night and found the Slurping Panda. We ordered the Pad Thai and Rendang of Lamb and both were just terrific, one of the best we've had. The servings were really generous and the service was terrific. I hope you are still there when we are back next year as we will definitely come again (and more than once!)
Amazing cocktails. They had a large cocktail menu with heaps of options but also the options were very different and not the usual run of the mill flavours. We tried three different types each. So six in total and they were all very good. The food was just OK though. Nice but nothing amazing
I went to the slurping panda with my family this week and the service was fantastic and even more importantly the food was delicious! We all had different meals and everyone agreed the food was of high quality!

The Slurping Panda may not be appropriately named ..but...the food is excellent and the service friendly and efficient. The food is an Asian influence with a difference.
Beautiful selection of food. great noodles.Best Pad Thai on coast. Excellent take away option. Highly recommended
