On arriving staff pleasant enough and acknowledge we were sitting next to the door that was an issue. During the 45 minutes we were there we had to close the door after ever customer in and out which was extremely annoying as the cold draft...was bitter and made the stay uncomfortable. The worst thing was ever the staff left it wide open each time they used it, I did challenge one staff member who left it wide open and the reply was, we always leave it open which j thought was extremely inconsiderate given they acknowledge wd were dityunv by the faculty door. Would never recommend the small batch Co to anyone as staff are very none customer friendly nor focused.
I arrived with my 2 year old and sat her in a high chair only for a rude member of staff to come over and say she needs to get out of the chair as it’s reserved (no sign anywhere no one mentioned this when...we sat down) they stood staring until I took her out of the chair. What sort of cafe in Seven Dials only has one high chair? We also waited ages for food and the staff were disgustingly rude when we asked if it was coming soon, in particular the manager rolled her eyes at us. A member of staff (female, brown hair, short fringe) was particularly vile. Made me feel so uncomfortable will never be coming back, really upset about the whole ordeal.

I invited my friend for a coffee to Small Batch at Seven Dials on Boxing Day. We sat by the table and my friend asked for white sugar very rude waitress said that they don’t have white sugar shocking fact, what coffee...place doesn’t have white sugar? ... My friend asked for brown sugar and she took it from one of the tables and threw it with attitude on our table. The girl had dyed blond hair and was quite young. It was shocking experience, I would expect higher standards from Small Batch.

When people ask for extra hot coffee it’s because they like it EXTRA HOT. I think I’ve been coming here for a good 5 months and always the same story.. I don’t understand why this is so hard to get. This company wants to be...and look like the best coffee company in Brighton-hipster and creative staff who are so well trained in latte art but then can’t even heat the milk over 60 degrees.
beautiful place, terrible decaf coffee! this is a beautiful place full of friendly people and great clientele. However, the coffee of the caffeine was absolutely the worst drink I might have ever had in my life! I was really shocked how bad it was. why the normal coffee tastes so rich and the decaf tastes like cheap müll. please, please, on camp with good quality disintegration!
Very good coffee, both the blend and the execution (note: good flat white/cappuccino is best when not scorching hot, just around 60 degree or so is optimal). I like the room and the choice of seating, from stools to benches to chairs. Some staff are...more friendly that others, but everybody is polite and professional. Prices are in the normal range for Brighton.
I’m not a negative person, but really hope the manager of this place reads this review and actually reflects on the pricings of the drinks. Went to this place yesterday and bought a can of coke and a bottled soft drink and the total came...to £5.20. Utterly ridiculous and overpriced.
