brilliant! over the years this place has passed many paintings and always promised us that we would try it out. we did yesterday and we were not disappointed. the slowly roasted bauch schwein was amazingly complete with crispy cracks! also the pork dinner was fabulous. clean teller round, and even going to the playground after 9 year old daughter..not me.) would recommend them very much!
We stayed here for one night as a stopover in Campervan on our way to Scotland. The owner Martin and his Staff were very welcoming and friendly, Food was great, and they had a good selection of beers. If you need a break between travelling this is the place to be. It was a pleasant stay and considerably quiet seen as your next to the A66.
I came in for tea in the evening and was thoroughly impressed. The dining experience was amazing, and the service was even better. Martyn, who is the chef, waiter, owner, and bartender, was incredible, especially given how much he managed to do. The dessert menu was extensive, and everything was perfect. Thank you, Marty—10/10!
Old fashioned, quirky, but excellent. Decor and surroundings seem dated at first sight, but once inside it all works perfectly. Food was perfect, plentiful and the service was prompt, friendly and really could not have been better. Would certainly go back. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Great pub located right by the A66, offering a lovely view and delicious food. The service was friendly as well! We stopped by for a late Sunday roast before our trip south, and it was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended!
Fantastic meal as always! We enjoyed the pork minks, Sichuan chicken, and the king prawn sizzler. The food was of excellent quality and offered great value for money. I would definitely recommend it!
