I visited a media preview at the Waterford Lakes site recently, and boy, I was well fed. Smashburger's claim to fame is, as you may guess from the name, the crushed burger. Each hand-rolled patty is lubricated on a baked grill and presumed. The result is a crispy, flat patty of 100% certified Angus beef. Each burger is served on an egg tap, a multicorn or a spicy chipotle. I scanned the whole menu, or at least it felt like that. During my most recent visit yesterday, I ordered online and arrived at 2:30 to pick up my order. Unfortunately, as soon as we started eating, we realized that everything was very cold—both the burgers and fries seemed to have been prepared at least 30 minutes before we arrived. The ingredients weren't fresh; the tomatoes on my burgers tasted days old, and my salad had brown edges. The meat was overcooked and charred, resulting in a dry, unappetizing texture.
One of my friends ordered the avocado black bean burger, which only had an old, mushy avocado that was brown and unappealing.

We really enjoy their burgers. I usually place my order online for pickup. However, I often encounter a recurring issue: when I arrive to pick up the food, the staff usually don’t ask if I ordered online, which would allow them to check if my order is ready. They tend to stay busy with other tasks, even though my order is typically ready and could be handed over to me in just a few seconds. Most of the time, I have to inquire about my order before they go to check on it. Recently, they have raised their prices, increasing the cost of their burgers by about $1.50 to $2. I definitely recommend trying the Colorado burger.
My wife and I ate a bite before a movie. You have to say we were pretty impressed. Overall, we like it better than Five Guys and Steak Shake. I have a bacon cheeseburger, the truffleries and a vanillashake. The Shake was amazing. The Burger was also very good. The fries were fine, I'll get the regular one next time. Again, we really liked it and believe that this will be our new Go-to-Burger community.

First visit here I ordered the classic smash with tomatoes and onions. It came in an egg **** and that was a very good burger. It is a thin taste, but for me it was full of taste. Order the frits with olive oil, rosemary garlic, they are like shoe stockings, they were good. The next time the spicy buffalories will try. I'm sure I'm back. It beats 5 guys
I had to wait 30 minutes for a kids' meal, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. I also wonder if they clean the shaker for the milkshakes properly. This has been my favorite milkshake spot for a while, but since I’m allergic to peanuts, I can't safely have them anymore. I’m giving it three stars because their burgers and fries are tasty.
This is the second time I've tried a Smash Burger, and I was hoping my experience at the Lake Nona location was an exception, but unfortunately, it wasn't. This chain feels like an overpriced version of McDonald's. I really wanted to enjoy this place since I'm new to the area, but it looks like my go-to burger spot will have to be Five Guys.
The burger was quite tasty, but the smashfries were the worst I've ever experienced. They were overcooked to the point of being inedible. It's unfortunate that the fries ruined what could have been a good meal. If you like your fries as hard as wooden sticks, then Smashburger is the place for you.
