My wife and I have been visiting smoke since it had opened and up until COVID, had always had a fantastic meal. Yesterday was our first trip in 18 months due to COVID and we were really looking forward to it. Wow how things have...changed. Firstly the service was poor. Before we had even ordered our drinks, we were approached twice by two different servers with drinks that were not ours. Then, when trying to order our food, our server turned to have a short conversation with another member of staff probably could have waited 30 seconds before doing that. Visited to be gutted the delicious triple cooked chips have been replaced with frozen chips. Lovely delicious smoked cooked food replaced with warmed up food. You used to see the bbq full of delicious food being cooked and now replaced with warmed up food, which...I find worrying with pork. It was thrown onto the bbq for a couple of minutes to warm up, saw ribs being dipped in what looked like water before being coated in bbq sauce. Food only stayed warm for 5 minutes. Very disappointed. Mac n Cheese okish but again warmed up pre cooked food. when we arrived at our nearby hotel, the booking system was no longer booked for this evening. we decided that the way to the restaurant and see if there is space. when the bar staff was admitted and came to welcome us. the dame had to ask the manager if it was in place and there. no idea why she had to ask how there was a lot of free tables on the back, maybe personal levels per table or so. at a table near the chef big bbq grube. it took to order one because (the food order was asked before the drinks, so both taken at the same time). it felt like a very long time before our simple drink order of 1 beer and water arrived). followed by the meal. the menu is sufficient with a good choice. th...
We went on a Sunday night. Staff were welcoming and friendly upon arrival and leaving. Food arrived quickly, and there was a good choice of BBQ options, and beers etc.. As well as the BBQ we had mac n cheese (good), and pickled slaw (over...pickled, perhaps). The double rib of beef was plentiful, and good quality meat, as were the burnt ends. It's a personal taste thing, for me the rib was slightly over-cooked, and the burnt ends could have been more burnt, and less sweet sauce. Others will prefer it as served. Good quantity.

we have never been in a dedicated bbq restaurant and have been made aware of this place by a family member. we lurve bbq delivered in our house and this restaurant on all levels. mais de was very attentive, staff was super efficient and eating was to die. incredibly generous portions. add burnt ends to their order. we will come back without doubt and know what we have.
I and my partner visited, the personal was brilliant, but eating was absolutely disgusting! I am pregnant and got pink bun given! and a pig was swimming in fat! from ordering to the plate on our table it was about 10 minutes, so. it is clear all precooked! never visit this restaurant again! and I will not advise others!
Celebrated a birthday at this restaurant. Enjoyed a delicious meal, with a helpful and informative waitress who knew the menu well. Will certainly return and recommend to fellow BBQ lovers.
We are in Sheffield for a gig weekend at the O2 and met friends here for lunch. A perfect place to do so and we will be back next time we visit.
