This location is the worst. They always have something going on. This morning (June 2nd) I placed a mobile order. When I go to pick up my order I'm told their system is down and no orders can be fulfilled. They said I have to go through the app to get arefund but couldn't tell me specifically where to go. I also wasted $4 in rewards on this order. One time they told me they wereonly accepting mobile orders. I am never placing an order in advance again because who knows if they will be able to fulfill myorder. *June 8th Update* To date I have not received a refund. I am being given the run around. I waited in line for 45 minutes to order a smoothie and requested no artificial ingredients or added sweeteners. Unfortunately, it turned out to be extremely sweet and tasted artificial, so I had to return it. They are preparing a replacement that I hope will be much better, as the first one was undrinkable. If the lines are this long, they need to reopen the inside, especially since COVID is almost over. There's no need to keep it closed. Also, although they advertise a $4 happy hour, it only applies to app orders, not for those waiting patiently in line for 45 minutes.

With the heat advisory in Atlanta, my mother and I were craving a refreshing smoothie. Upon arriving, we noticed a man behind the counter and a woman who answered the phone inside. Unfortunately, she informed us that they were too understaffed to open. Has anyone ever visited a Smoothie King with more than one employee present? To me, this felt like a lack of effort. While I understand that overworked employees deserve breaks, I've noticed that most Smoothie Kings typically have only one or two staff members. This experience was quite disappointing and highlights a frustrating trend in work ethic among my generation.
We placed our smoothie order through the Smoothie King app. When I arrived, it was 6 minutes past the estimated pickup time, and the smoothies were unfortunately runny and not at all icy. They tasted quite watered down, making it difficult to detect the flavors. Additionally, the girl at the counter, who seemed to be in a managerial role, didn’t bother to smile. I understand that not everyone enjoys their job, but that shouldn't make customers feel unwelcome. Having worked at Smoothie King before, I know that making smoothies correctly is a straightforward process if the directions are followed properly.
