We love Greek Food. Been all over town and, while it's been a while, been to Snack Gyro a few times. It's usually dependable. Not today and I don't mean an off meal, I mean a horrible meal and I rarely use that term in my reviews. We ordered the Gyros salad. What we got was very little gyros meat, watery lettuce, one piece of tomato, a few slices of wilted cucumbers, bell peppers (not mentioned in the menu description) chunks of onion (no kalamata olives i requested) smothered in their garlic sauce. (Not the Greek dressing as advertised) Hummus falafel platter. Nope not good. Tasteless hummus, with zero flavor or seasoning, like mashed garbanzo beans. Falafel was so over fried they were grea...
The restaurant is in a great location with easy, quick parking. The service is friendly, but the quality of the food can be inconsistent. Sometimes the meals are cooked perfectly and taste delicious, but other times the food is not good. The prices are reasonable. Since the update on 11/12/2022 and 1/2/2023, there have been big improvements in food flavor, cleanliness, and friendly service. However, more improvements are needed in terms of flavor and meat tenderness. Both the rice and meat dishes need more flavor.
It is a nice little restaurant and the prices are good, decent presentation (and the guy there was working his off back there) but I was a little disappointed with my meal. I ordered the Snack Shawarma Plate, which among other things, promises a salad. I was expecting maybe like a little side of a Greek-style salad or something like that. Nope. The salad is literally just some bare shredded lettuce with a slice of a bell pepper on top of it. Nothing else. Everything else was great.
I have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now. Among the various Mediterranean restaurants I have tried, this one stands out as the best. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. It is a perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner. While the ambiance may not be extravagant, you will not be disappointed by the flavors and quality of the dishes. I always opt for the lunch or dinner special plate and have never been let down. Great food! Nice people working! Don’t judge their English; isn’t always the best however and more importantly, their food is some of the best food to fill you up for lunch or dinner. If you are feeling or craving gyro this is the place to go! Menus I am including in the review because my experience with their website, the menu wasn’t the best it was missing large portions of the entire menu. Hope you all find what you’re looking for. You won’t be disappointed.
Dinner Special: Lamb and beef hummus. I stopped here for a late night quick to go meal on my way home. I have to say delicious! The meats are so full flavor and delicious! This whole platter can easily feed 2. So good! I love that they add spice if you want it spicy. The chef was also super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area.
Well this was a big disappointment. $38 for all this : The rice needs more flavor, the meats just taste old and hard. Ground meat was very chewy, difficult to chew. We only got one little thing of hummus from the two plate. One plate had only iceberg with a bunch of green peppers. Overall a very disappointing experience. The falafel was the only good thing.
I haven't had a lot of Mediterranean food in my life but husband and I were in the mood for it today! Randomly came across this once and we are so glad we did. So amazing! I can’t even believe I’ve been in burien for a year and did not eat this yet. It’s so so good! The guys working there are super nice too! I got the falafel salad, baba ganoush and baklava. I’m sooooo happy and full. Love this place you need to check it out!!!
