First off, have to say food is really really good! We were in NY from NC for a short trip and this was the first place we hit after driving all day. We got there 1 hour before closing and seemed like the waitress was not as friendly as I would think to earn a possible extra $10-20 tip (no one there) an hour before close is plenty of time for a group of 3. My daughter wanted the Tripleta fries because they do not have them down the south and 10 mins after we ordered all our food,the waitress comes out and says they don’t have Fries so can’t make them. The whole reason for us going there. She told them no thank you (for anything else she would pick ours) then when all food came out they said “...
I used to love this Puerto Rican restaurant, but sadly, the quality of the food has gone downhill. The taste of the dishes is no longer as good as it used to be. The flavors that once made this place special are now lacking. On my recent visit, the mofongo was dry and lacked the rich garlic and pork flavors it used to have. The arroz con gandules was bland, and the pernil was tough and overcooked. The portions also seemed smaller compared to my past experiences. The service was still friendly, but that doesn't make up for the disappointing food. It's unfortunate, but I can no longer recommend this restaurant to others. I hope they can turn things around and bring back the quality we all once...
My family and I dined at Sofrito, a wonderful Puerto Rican restaurant. The welcoming atmosphere and exceptional service from our server, Flor, made our visit memorable. We enjoyed delicious dishes, ending with a perfect Flan dessert. Sofrito beautifully celebrates Puerto Rican culture and cuisine.

The most authentic puertorican/dominican food I’ve had since moving to Orange County in 2018. Totally hit the comfort food bell! Delicious and the presentation was gorgeous and understated. Nothing about this place tries hard. Felt like summer.
Very delicious and consistently great. I liked both types of the dessert empanadas. My favorite entree was Glazed Chicharron De Pollo but I haven't had a bad entree yet.
Very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. I ordered the El Gringo Burger and it was fantastic also a chicken and cheese empanadas.
