I have been a customer of Dizzy's for about thirty years and dined there at least every month. We have had family celebrations, graduations, friends get togethers , special occasions, intimate meals and whatever the occasion we have gone to Dizzy's but not any more. Your menu is awful, it is like a really bad bar menu. I sent a separate e mail complaining but it must not have come to you. In fact all of my friends are now dining in Chester's. We just loved Dizzy's because of the ambiance but now there is nothing exciting about the food. Having promised ourselves a visit back to what used to be our favourite Aberdeen eatery so that we could see how things were under new management, I 'm afraid it 's a first and last time visit. Although the staff were excellent friendly, polite and attentive the menu was poor. Beautiful choice of starters but then the choices ranged round burger and chips, haddock and chips, chicken burger and chips, with the 'specials ' being anything but. That evenings blackboard special of Chilli was dry and covered in melted cheese. A double birthday party taking place in the lower part of the restaurant meant we couldn 't hear each other speak so we didn 't linger. Sorry, but we won 't be back again.
The food portions were generous and ranged from delicious scallops as starters to a chicken burger that our teenager loved, with "nothing healthy" as requested. We also enjoyed a super tasty crumb cake and a well-balanced monkfish served on a curry base, along with lamb that was perfectly cooked, though the sauce could have been a bit more flavorful. We finished our meal with a selection of good cheeses and a delicious chocolate platter, which rounded off a much-appreciated dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its atmosphere and service, and don’t forget to try that Negroni!
Very enjoyable experience when catching up with a friend over dinner. The staff did not rush us out the door when we had finished eating and did come back regularly and check if we needed anything else. There was a 2 for 1 offer advertised on the website but nothing indicating this once there. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and visit again. the place was recently refurbished and opened under a new name. new device is colorful and bright and gives a good mood. eating could be something on the expensive side, but it was very good. the workers are very polite and helpful, they also had no problems with catering on the nutrition allergy requirements. a good place to visit in aberdeen.
I booked Dizzys for my wife's 50th birthday, we had 30+ guests and pre chose our menu, which consisted a choice of six starters, eight mains and six desserts, all of which were excellent. All guests thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Would certainly recommend Dizzys for any special occasion, well done and thank you.
