While on vacation in our motorhome at a nearby campsite in Salhouse, we stumbled upon this pub after a day of exploring the Broads and cycling back. It turned out to be a fantastic find! The staff were friendly and the menu was great. My partner, who is vegetarian, had three delicious main course options to choose from. He went with the mushroom suet pudding, served with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables, while I opted for the sea bass with sautéed new potatoes, spinach, and broccoli. Both dishes were beautifully cooked and delicious. Unfortunately, we were too full to try dessert, but all the meals being served around us looked amazing. We popped in for a father's day meal, despite not booking in advance they were very accommodating and found us a table. We had rump steak x 2, roast and kids sausage and chips. The food was incredible, cooked to perfection, hot and fresh!!! This place truly is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Norwich.
Didn't like the atmosphere....sat around a corner away from the bar....large amount of food for the money but was pretty average....nice service....think if I go again it will be just to drink.

Excellent Sunday Roast lunch. Really good value for money. A warm welcome from the staff and we were served delicious food very quickly. Highly recommend the Sole and Heel.
Sadly just a fleeting visit but the food being devoured looked nice and they do have a great range of beers.
After the stare down from the locals who are all above 55 it was a nice meal with friendly staff.
