Great service and delicious food. Started with the satay chicken, great sauce, chicken a little dry, but good flavor. Spicy Basil chicken, chicken basil fried rice, pad lard nar, and red curry were all well cooked and very tasty. Followed up with the cucumber salad, nice end to a great dinner. Close to the metra, order for when you get off the train. So good, will be back.
My favorite meal to get is the crab Rangoon with pad Thai extra spicy and Thai iced tea. Hands down the best Thai food I've ever had and my personal favorite restaurant. The owner, Pi, is a very hard working, honest man and has become a close friend. The right atmosphere, the right people and the right food make Somsri a staple of Winfield.
I ordered food on the app and it was $25.48 Didn’t let me place the order so I called in and placed an order when I picked it up the tried to charge me $35. The women charging didn’t know how much it was and was laughing and asking the man in the kitchen about it. Horrible guest service never eating here again
This delightful little spot offered a great Thai menu with some of the best Pad See Eiw and crab rangoon I've ever had! The Thai iced tea was just right as well. Very happy to have discovered this gem while out and about. Will definitely return when in the area. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Used to be very good, now major lack of quality. Frozen fried egg rolls, tastless. Pad thai like a huge lump of overcooked spaghetti. Curry, very few vegetables and tough fatty chicken, mushy overcooked rice. Waitress was nice, food was gross.
Ordered take out and the lady in the front was rushing checking out and said they don’t have any to go sauces… portion sizes are good but way too much rice and not enough protein. Will be trying another place next time.
Great Thai food is hard to come by in the Midwest. They use fresh ingredients and the staff has always been attentive. We enjoy their takeout and always try a new dish.
