I dislike writing bad reviews but this was a disaster from the beginning. 20 minutes to get our drinks and no one else was there. Confusion about what cocktails were available. Our guests received their appetizers 15 minutes before we received ours. My eggplant parmigiana tasted old and burnt. Our guest received his salmon 15 minutes after the rest of us and it was raw. I saw three women walk in, go to their table and they were served a bottle of wine pretty much before their butts hit their chairs. What was that all about? There were items on our bill that were never delivered and had to be removed. It was one, unenjoyable experience.
The food at this restaurant, prepared by the talented Freddie Carucci, is truly exceptional. Every dish, from the appetizers to the steaks and the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat, was remarkable. The zeppoles with strawberry sauce were simply unbelievable. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. The music, food, and service were all excellent. I would give it more than ten stars if I could!
I even recommended it to a friend who was looking for a restaurant to propose to his girlfriend. He made a reservation and requested a quiet table. The staff went above and beyond by suggesting he secretly record his proposal with his phone. It was such a thoughtful gesture! When other customers realized what was happening, they cheered for the couple. It was just wonderful to witness.
The food is fantastic, and there's a lovely al fresco dining area in the back. However, the lighting is terrible—more like something you'd find in a doctor's office. The food was absolutely fantastic! I really wish I had taken pictures of my meal; I’ll definitely remember to do that next time. Everything was incredibly delicious! I also had the best Caesar salad I've ever tasted— they make the dressing from scratch!
