It was a decent place. Pros: The almond croissant and the Ridgewood cake A melange chocolate mousse, vanilla cream brûlée and chocolate sponge cake) were delicious! Negative: I was disappointed that the baguette was super hard! I think it would have taken out one of my teeth. Maybe they cooked it? And the $2 truffles not depicted) was not only expensive, but disgusting in taste. The flavors were not refined. Another thing that the owner can improve is to add the ingredient sign to any cake, so I don't have to ask the employees what is in each and every one of them.
I highly recommend this place for their delicious savory crepes and unique desserts that you won't find at many other places! Sook makes the crepes right in front of you, and I love how her face lights up with joy as she hands you her creation. I only saw her without a mask today, and her genuine warmth really shines through! I do suggest visiting on a weekday, but not Friday, as the crowds can get quite overwhelming!
Sook is a master chef. My three kids love cakes from Sook Pastry. Especially her service is amazing! I didn't hear about her pastry for my wife's birthday. I talked to her about it. Then she consulted some kind of cake to meet my wife's taste as well as my children and wrote a happy birthday set called my wife in Korean. Sook's detail service has made our day richer!
This great place to have a piece of cake and coffee in the evening. The place is overcrowded what you should expect, its pastry is excellent, but they have space both inside and outside. Try her bread. You have an excellent selection of bread. There are three or four types of baggetts, cheese rolls and wheat bread.
Very cute place , great coffee , good deserts. It is a little pricy and deserts are little heavy. Chocolate ones were my favorite but my friend liked the hazelnut one more. We paid close to 40$ for 2 coffees and 4 piece of desert.
Sook Pastry is/was soo much better then what Chocolatine French Cafe (Thousand Oaks, CA 91362) ever was. Where I'm currently now. Oh how by the way both ownerships were also French Immigrants as well.
Cutest Pastry Shop/Bakery. Truly, I feel like I'm going to a bakery in Paris. Delicious crepes, coffee and croissants. Recommend the raspberry macarons. Tip: Try to go out hours can be overcrowded!
Once you see, hear or meet the male owner, you will lose your appetite. Nasty, nasty and so arrogant. No pastry is worrh being a patron to people like that!!!!!
