This is a high end restaurant, but without really being high end quality. Two of us had the four course menu; one with wine pairing one without. The bill was $277 without tip. The food was not worth it. The portions are tiny - any person who exercises a lot or who has a healthy appetite will leave hungry. The main course duck the duck was not tender (I could have used a steak knife to take it off the skin), and it was about 4 bites in total. The scallop/pork course had one scallop and the equivalent of two bites of breaded/fried pork. It was delicious, but very small. Very Very disappointing. I invited my daughter and her husband out for supper at Harbour House. This was meant to be a special occasion so I thought that this would be a fitting place to have an evening out.First I would have to say that the meal itself was very disappointing. My daughters main course turn up before we even had the appetizers on the table and was told that was the way it was ordered with no consideration to holding and maybe even reheating it or even redoing it. The meal itself was very inconsistent quantity and quality. The appetizers were so small that to consider sharing was completely unrealistic One dessert that was supposed to be Pavlova consisted of an ordinary mering...
Five arrive for lunch get seated promptly at a great table, pleasant attentive waitress. Then it went rapidly down hill after an hour and a quarter no lunch we finally catch our waitress's attention and questioned the lengthy wait, she explained that every thing is made from scratch, she said she would mention our exasperation to the chefs. We then over hear another table of 6 guests that were already seated when we arrived, complaining loudly that they just wanted to pay for their drinks and leave! With out lunch. We came for our 20 th anniversary dinner accompanied by another couple. 2 of us had the 4 course meal with wine paring and 2 the 4 course meal with separate drinks. Food was enjoyable but not put of this world amazing. Cost of dinner for the 4 of us $650!! The service was what to me doesn't match these prices. Waiter was fidgeting around as he was telling us about the menu. He mixed up our drinks twice, we were being served from every direction (not only from one). For these prices I'd like my napkin placed in my lap, chair pulled back to sit and so on. I would have to say that it's very overpriced and overrated. Don't think I'll be back. Parto dal dire che ho solo pranzato al ristorante e non dormito nella struttura ... peccato perché è molto bella. Io sono rimasto senza parole per la qualità del cibo per la cura con cui viene cucinato e servito. Altissimo livello. Anche nel servizio tutti stra disponibili e cortesi (thanks Michaila). Questo posto non é di un lusso sfrenato ma é veramente giusto: la quinta essenza della ristorazione e del servizio. Il tutto in una cornice incantevole sulla baia. The food was outstanding — among the best meals I've ever had. Absolutely worth the price. The view was also beautiful, as was the dining room, the hotel itself, and the grounds. Our servers were all extremely friendly and helpful; though too-often absent — our drinks went dry several times and there was no one around to even ask. We also waited more than an hour between the first and second course, which didn't bother us on this particular night, but certainly could.
Our concierge told us about the Copper Room for lunch and so glad we stopped. It certainly is the best option in the area. I have sockeye salmon with claws and mussels and it was very good. My wife had clams and she really enjoyed as well. Nice atmosphere and great service. Definitely recommend if you are driving up the west coast for the day. We were staying in Victoria and was about an hour or a bit more to get there.
הגענו לחגוג יום נישואין. קיבלנו שולחן במקום מדהים שצופה אל המפרץ. המלצר היה מקצועי וחביב. המקום מתייחד בכך שמשתמשים בעיקר בירקות ותבלינים שגדלים בגן הירק של המסעדה. הגן יפה ומטופח. המנות הראשונות היו בסדר גמור. הבעיה היתה במנות העיקריות שאיבדו חלק מן הרעננות עקב שימוש מוגזם (לטעמי) בשמנת או שמוצר דומה לה. התוצאה היתה אוכל מורכב מידי וקצת כבד. המחירים יקרים, אבל מי שבא למסעדה יודע מראש שהמקום אינו זול. We had the 3 course dinner. The food was excellent. The presentation was 5 star. We also had the breakfast. The eggs benny was also excellent, making my mouth water as I remember the meal. Meals are garnished with fresh herbs that are grown in the garden.Well worth the experience.
