Long black coffees arrived - but we received a small jug of ice - when we asked for cold water. They seemingly didn't listen. Our meals eventually arrived after about 20min wait. One meal first (without cutlery), and then the second meal 5 mins later (also without cutlery) - had to ask for the cutlery. We took a group of 9 adults and 4 kids to The Beach Shack for a birthday breakfast, ordering 3 full breakfasts on arrival and another 3 breakfasts, kids meals and beverages 15 minutes later, the first 3 arrived 55 minutes late after asking for them. the second lot were a bit quicker at 30 minute wait but they forgot one meal. When we enquired where the full breakfast was the proprietor brought us the dockets and said she didn't have another breakfast. We said it has been paid for and she said she would find something, then as she walked away she said to herself I will give him leftovers. Met two of my friends for lunch on 7th July and sat in the window in the sun over looking the walkway and view of Hillarys Boat HarbourWe were served quickly and had water and glasses bought to the table on arrival. We choose a Tuna Poke Salad $22, A Marco Bowl $20 and a Chicken Burger with Chips $18.50. The Tuna Poke was slower to come out that the other two meals, but what a delight. Waited 45 minutes for 2 breakfasts to arrive after asking when it was coming. The other 3. Breakfasts in our group arrived 20 minutes later. Another large group arrived after us and got their breakfasts before us! One item ordered never arrived. The manager said the kitchen was under pressure and also there was a new staff member taking the orders. This is NOT the customers problem. If it's busy, they should have enough trained staff on the floor and in the kitchen to deal with the covers on a Sunday morning. We picked the Beach Shack restaurant due to its location on the Hillarys Boat Harbour. It is positioned before the jetty and overlooking the sheltered harbour. Great views. It was a rainy winters day so having breakfast with a hot coffee was very welcoming. Speaking of welcoming, the staff and service was fantastic as was our meals.Apart from this we were able to use our Entertainment Book voucher.What a wonderful restaurant. We will return.
I met friends here recently for lunch; it's light & airy & the staff were very friendly. The food was lovely - on the plus side, there were healthy options & it was delicious. I did think the pricing was a little off - I had major food envy for my friend's 'tuna poke' which at $22 seemed great value compared to my 'macro bowl' at $20
Always a favourite and huge selection of breakfast pancakes plus the usual savoury choices. Very vibrant and good atmosphere with efficient service and tasty food.

The food was nice, but the service was ordinary and disorganised. Don't know if we would be bothered again!
