I visited for a Mother's Day celebration, which I know tends to be the busiest day of the year. The food was good, but not outstanding. The drinks were very impressive. There was a long wait for the food, but given that it was Mother’s Day, that was to be expected. The burrata was delicious, but the oysters were small and lacked sweetness. We didn't order dessert, but the table tried the frutti di mare (which was too spicy), scallops (overcooked but flavorful), sea bass (very good), salmon (excellent), surf and turf (average), and veal chops (excellent). Personally, I would prefer to go to Il Foglio Enoteca up the street, which offers similar dishes but with exceptional quality.

The octopus salad was outstanding. I enjoyed it alongside a pasta dish filled with various shellfish and calamari in a spicy sauce. My wife ordered the beet and goat cheese salad, as well as a shrimp and broccoli rabe. We both agreed that everything tasted fresh and had wonderfully balanced flavors. Our main waiter, Charlie, was very attentive. The restaurant was quite busy, so I recommend making a reservation. Overall, it was one of my favorite dining experiences. Food: 5/5.
I hosted a small family brunch in celebration of an upcoming new baby. Everything was perfect. Our food was delicious, the service was great. The staff was so kind and accommodating. Our first time, and we'll certainly be back! Charming old house, beautifully cared for. Excellent food and service, fairly-priced large portions, on-site parking. Easy access from Taconic St. Pkwy and I 84. Highly recommended!!
Love Sotano!!! Never disappointed. Their menu is varied and always something good to try. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We enjoy it a lot!
