We went for a farewell dinner for my sister who was moving away. Arrived at 6:00 pm, knew it was a busy place and were prepared to wait. Server told us 30 to 40 minutes; ok; we did not get a table until 8:15 pm. The bar was full, no place to sit only a small bench and chair for 3 people; we were 7. After being seated, then had to ask for a waiter so we could place our order. The bar is very noisy and loud, due to being very busy, but we had been a few times before and were aware of this also. However it was to the extreme when 2 tables that were sat next to us, screaming so excessively where we could not hear one another. I approached who seemed to be a manager and asked if we could be moved...
I have been to this restaurant at least a dozen times and while I have ordered many dishes I always come back to the white pizza and wings. I love their white pizza and sweet and spicy thai wings for numerous reasons: taste, level of grease and hotness. The dusted sweet and spicy thai wings are always perfectly cooked and arrive hot. The pizza is not greasy and the crust is absolutely delicious. The servers are friendly and personable. I find that it takes some time to receive your food but the up side is it arrives hot. I highly recommend trying this place out....there is something for everyone on the menu.
We went for a late dinner at this gem of a restaurant. Despite the late hour, the food was fresh and piping hot when delivered to the table. I had the steak sandwich (next time I'll share with someone - it was HUGE! - my husband had the fish and chips and a friend had the fish (lake perch) tacos. Everyone agreed that the food was superb. Our waitress was cheerful and welcoming. It's a pub-like atmosphere; very cozy, with vintage fixtures and Crystal Beach historical pictures. We'll definitely go back! Pricing was competitive with other restaurants in the area.
The blue burger was awesome. Huge, thick and juicy on a nice roll. Good selection of sides. I took the sweet potato fries. The fish tacos were 3 good sized tacos with Lake Erie perch. Nice taste that's not available on the US side of the lake. Tacos has the same side options. Fries were home made. Good selection of kids meals, all with bottomless soft drinks, or milk or juice. Crystal Beach is nothing like it was before the park closed, but the South Coast is worth the trip.
After a day at the Lake, our group of 7 (adults and kids) ventured over to South Coast for a bite to eat. The place is jam-packed all the time! Our lovely hostess (lady with the accent) kept us informed as to how much longer we'd have to wait for a table, so we enjoyed a bevvie at the bar. Tables soon opened up and we enjoyed some great pub-style food in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. I would suggest this tiny gem for a great night after the beach!!
Came here with my parents on a busy Sunday night. The service was friendly, but he did forget our chicken wings. Despite that start, it was a great meal overall. We had the thai chicken wings, they were big and juicy with lots of sauce, well worth all the good reviews.I had the bolognese gnocci, it was yummy. Mom had the fish tacos and dad the chicken parm. We all enjoyed our meals, I will return to try something new!
My wife and visit here at the start of motorcycle riding season, the place changes a little each year with menu adjustments but the food and drink are always good. Plus I will note that there are a number of vegetarian items on the menu and that is a plus for me.
one family member or another is in there at least once a week....never ever disappointed....everything is good...and a cold drink makes it even better
Great pizza and wings. Good. Beer selection. Close to crystal beach. Would return in the future. Could use some A/c!
