This restaurant offers incredible quality and customer service. I absolutely adore everything about this establishment. They offer three fresh flavors daily: chocolate, vanilla, and a special flavor of the day. They also offer past daily flavors in to-go portions, allowing you to keep some at home. You can even call ahead to reserve your favorite flavor. My personal favorite is Mint Oreo. We love taking pictures of my son on the blue bench inside the restaurant, as these photos were taken the same month he was born. Southern Custard is one of our top favorite spots in Atlanta, and I highly recommend it to others.
The custards are amazing.. this is the best among the one's I've tried.. had a Small Scoop Chocolote with customized toppings along with the must try Poffertjes... both were outstanding.. personally we like Custard more than ice creams since they seems much lighter.. its a cute little place had has both indoor and outdoor seating.. it was very busy all through the time we dined in.. place is very well maintained and has a great ambience.. would definitely try multiple times..
My family lives in Athens and we set out on a Sunday road trip in search of the best homemade ice cream, frozen yogurt, or custard. We tried Southern Custard's flavor of the day - mint chip - and it quickly became a family favorite. The flavor was intense, the texture silky creamy, and it was filled with delicious chocolate chips. Despite the three-hour round trip, we found it well worth the journey. I highly recommend giving Southern Custard a try. Stay well!
Southern Custard is a good custard spot, but nothing particularly special. The baseline options of custard are limited, but there are a number of ways of customizing your pick, from making sundae to adding a few toppings. It can get busy, but the staff members are nice. There's some outside and inside seating. The inside is small and a little cramped but at least an option in colder weather.

This place is delicious. I now have a strong competitor to my other favorite ice-cream place (the red caboose). Highly recommend trying their delicious frozen custard. The additional toppings allow you to personalize and get as creative as you want with your custard.
We are regulars here and have never been disappointed!! This place is so delicious! They even have pup cups for the dogs if you ask! The staff is always so nice!
